The only way to speed up metabolism is to ad lean muscle to your body. There are no scientific prove that eating smaller more frequent meals will do that. I have a very fast metabolism and I only eat twice a day while fasting for the rest of the day.

+1 for justinproulx1 If you do decide to increase protein you have to increase fat as well, that means more calories = more cardio. Which is best....30 minutes of cardio or eating 300 calories less? I'd go for less calories. I would stick with the advise above. Use the Harris Benedict formula and stick to what your body…

@Choppo1...you are definitely correct, any exercise is good exercise. I've never really bothered with knowing how many calories are burnt, so I'm with you on that one too....it's all about intensity anyways. I can go through an entire 4 hour cardio session lifting my leg twice, that doesn't mean I did 30 minutes of cardio…

Don't over complicate things....stick to the basics and just enjoy it. Don't try and think too much about dieting....that'll make you hungry. Don't try too many different exercise regimes....that'll confuse you. Stay strong. But, that's just my opinion....good luck.

Those are all fad programs encouraging people to buy certain products. Start doing cardio that puts your body into a metabolic state....I have heard (I cant vouch for this) but some HIIT cardio program, sometimes not longer than only a few minutes, can get you to burn calories for up to 36 hours. That's a heckuva lot more…
