Yes. I routinely go over and under daily depending on how hungry I am. It's called zigzagging. I think it's crazy to eat the same number of calories each day because some days you're hungrier than other days. It's the weekly net that counts. As for feeling like a failure, just stop doing that. I'm 55, 5'1" and reached my…

If you don't have flowlink you can update the information manually.

Usually the rule of thumb for cardio is if it's above the neck and you don't have a fever, it's okay to do cardio (head cold). Below the neck, like bronchitis, no.

Dude. As if your descriptions weren't already enough you had to post PICTURES of that yummy stuff!

Did the same thing. Felt the same way. Rode my bike for an hour. Soreness gone!

http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/05/14/exercise-snacks-to-control-blood-sugar/?_php=true&_type=blogs&_r=0 Plus, 1280 doesn't sound like enough calories, even though that is what MFP recommended. I use this calculator, which I feel is more accurate. http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/

Keeping them in the freezer wouldn't keep me out of them. I bet they taste great frozen when it's hot outside. Like chocolate covered cookie dough ice cream. Yum!

When I see a fat person on a mobility scooter I always ask myself the following question. "Are they fat because they have a disease or injury, or do they have a disease or injury because they are fat?"

Although 'exercise snacking' is approached from the low blood sugar standpoint in this link, it also works well when you don't have a lot of time to exercise. http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/05/14/exercise-snacks-to-control-blood-sugar/?_php=true&_type=blogs&_r=0

You've already done the hardest part-moving out. He did you a favor this weekend and gave you a glimpse of what it would be like if you went back. Don't. Just don't.

You should think about doing both, not either/or. I do strength training and run for cardio.

The first week's loss was mostly likely a lot of water. Since you're a big guy, I don't think 1200 is enough. I use http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/ Use a food scale for accurate measurement. Eat back a minimum of half of your exercise calories. One week, especially only the second week, is not a…

I'm 55, been running for two years, have been at goal since first of June. Lost at about .5-1 pound a week eating 1400-1550 a day. Eating 1711 to maintain 125 pounds. Ran today and ate around 2100. Currently training for a half marathon. Feel free to send me a friend request.

You're already ahead of the game since you know what to do, but it's easier said than done. Having the support of others makes a huge difference! Good luck! You will ace this!

By knowing the scale will probably show a loss after rest days and the possibility of a new running PR. Most of my PR'S happen after rest days.

Hi. I'm Joni. I'm 55 and retired three days ago on July 2. Yay! I live in Washington state, but spend a lot of time in Montana too. I started running in the spring of 2012 when I was 53. I had always hated running but one day while I was waiting for spin class to begin I hopped on a treadmill and the rest is history. I ran…
