So you don't want to restart logging food, you don't think you can give up or reduce sweet foods and you are reluctant to do meal preparation. Maybe just accept your weight for awhile or forever. Trying to loose weight in your current mindset will be a burden . There comes a point in every weight loss persons life when…

I manage it within my logging and exercise. I've cut out a regular daily evening glass of wine and now just have a glass Friday and Sat nights and make sure I counterbalance it with extra exercise. I quite like 'earning' my treat and somehow enjoy it more now its a bit special.

I think you look nicely in proportion. While you aren't tall your bust is balanced by the rest of your body and to me you look trim and fit. Congratulations

My late Mum was on the plump / larger side. Not once have I looked at a photo and thought about her size. I see her face, her love, her smile. I wish you all the best with your personal goal of getting to look as great as you can for your babe 1st birthday - but don't be hard on yourself - be the fantastic mother I'm sure…

Well I'm less virtuous .. first I pre-log my 'can't survive without' that's 2 squares of chocolate and at weekends a glass of wine. I'm pretty boring with breakfast - same most days and often lunch so I pre-log those. Then I tend to eat my evening meal according to what calories I have left - which is dependent on the…

Hi - I'm not sure. I've been at maintenance for several months, weigh daily and know my body well. Too much of a coincidence I think - I googled it and there was mention that a scale can become less accurate as a battery comes to the end of its life so I reckon that today is my 'accurate' weight and the others could have…

Sorry, if I wasn't clear. My arms are now quite skinny, I'm at my maintenance weight but I agree that I need to convert the wobble to toned
-
Yes I agree. People on here are giving you good concerned advice. You start a post header screaming in capitals and when you don't like what people write you say 'take a chill pill' Not only to you have an eating disorder and are attention seeking you are also rude and resistant to help. All issues that can be sorted but…

Well I had thought that the simple point was to bring a smile to the faces of my fellow MFP message boards and perhaps even amuse them at how the 'other half' deals with dieting - no need to work, budget etc BUT I totally missed that it would have a secondary point. It would enable all the people who didn't have " if you…

Yes I started a similar post about not just size but changing styles. I also struggled with changing my style to reflect my new slimmer shape. I've previously worn a lot of 3/4 pants / trousers and tunic style loose tops. While I've now bought a pair of smaller trousers I haven't really changed my style - I still feel I'm…

No you are doing absolutely the right thing. It would be extremely silly for you to exercise if all you have eaten today is 900 calories. You are not eating enough to keep yourself able to do your activities of everyday living let alone have any spare for exercise. It may be useful for you so do some reading around a…

Yes fingers but even more so wrists. I've had to have links taken out of my watch strap twice now or its slipping about all over my arm. Feet as well - I have gone down one size. This surprises me as I haven't lost loads but I guess it is still a significant % of my original weight (almost 25% arggh that a quarter of me…

Feel free not to answer this but how are your parents weight and size-wise/? Are they lean machines so don't really see a problem with the food they eat or are they 'what they eat' and less fit and healthy. It occurs to me that you may be able to approach this from a health not a weight angle and get your Mum on side…

Try logging in advance. Every night, without fail I have 2 squares of deluxe chocolate with a cup of tea. I know I'm going to so I just log them in in the morning. If for some reason (a good reason being chocolate brownie instead) it takes a second to change. It's a bit like popping $20 away in my account weekly. If it's…

Hi there - we don't have a Chipotle in NZ - is it tasty food? Sounds as though it's something like a Subway where they fill it up from a range of containers. Hot food? What am I missing

quote: Haha, well the negative calories thing definitely isn't true..but I really want to know if you can put it through one of those machines to make it bubbly! If you can do it to water...you must be able to do it to wine. They're both liquid! [/quote] definitely isn't true … EXCUSE ME ! - clearly you are just like a lot…

You are overlooking the fact that all those little bubbles in champagne actually make it lighter. So light in fact that it has negative calories - it almost floats out of the glass. This is, like other information on these forums, a proven medical, fitness and nutritional fact. Believe me.

Confession time ... If I can't be bothered answering and I don't really know the person I adopt a rather sad demeanour and say in hushed tones "I've been unwell" That makes them feel better that I've list weight with extra 'help' and stops the questions ;-p

Easy my friend lost 7lbs in a day only last week. She has kept that 7lbs in a nice little wicker basket on rockers beside her bed.

Hello OP here - thank you to those who have said they liked my thoughts - that's all they were - thoughts and observations. For those who have said I was indirectly trying to skite ( look that one up it's another Aussie/NZ word even better than whinge) that was not in my conscious thought process at all. But yes, I am…
-
Verb To whinge A British/Australian/New Zealand (possibly South African and other commonwealth) English word which describes incessant complaining. It's a bit like whine but not quite Whinging According to Wordnik, whinge means "to complain, especially in an annoying or persistent manner." Merriam-Webster defines whinge as…

Haha love this - I can just imagine. I digress here but I once needed some animal costumes for a child's play and typed 'animal costume' - you'd be amazed at how many men wear an elephant G -string (yup that's the trunk!) in the privacy of their own home ;-P

It isn't hard for YOU to lose weight. It is hard for anyone to lose weight but the difference is that those who are losing the weight stop not making excuses like too busy to log or exercise. It's said endlessly - eat less calories than you burn. Measure how many calories you eat accurately (weigh and log). Sorry to sound…

Plan around your treats. I lost 10kg and still had a glass of wine and 2 chocolates every night. At that stage in my 'journey' I wasn't at a point to give them up so I made sure I had them within my allowance. Further on I began to find that I didn't feel deprived without them so just began to miss them out. If you put…

My feeling exactly! I know just what you mean by enjoying looking and feeling good in my new size of clothes. This time round no too large clothes are being kept in the guise of 'comfy' - all of a sudden comfy becomes 'normal' My new items fit well and are 'comfy' - I'm not keeping the too large stuff. As the OP I've…
-
yes it's mostly trousers - some are now falling off and while I have altered a few pairs DecemberPsalm I'm not that skilled at redoing waistband etc. I've overlocked in the sides of quite a few tops and they look OK
-
ah .. past that reason ;-P so I have no valid excuse

Have you actually calibrated your fitbit to the number of steps you take at your normal walking pace over a known distance? I'm a long legged tallish lady and I have a 86cm stride. Until I correctly entered my personal details Fitbit was saying I'd walked much further than I had - almost 1/3 out. It was easy to do although…

A late entry vote for All Bran here too - I know it sounds boring but I have 3/4 a cup of all bran 125mls mils of milk and 2 cups of tea for my breakfast every single morning. As the ad says 'regular inside and out!' That's not to say I don't eat all those other lovely breakfast goodies such as pancakes, eggs etc but I…

I go for 2 kg (4.4lbs) range. It seems for my body to be a good indicator - any less and natural day fluctuations effect it. I hop on scales daily, same time, same (lack of ) clothes. If I find I'm over I'm just a bit more vigilant with my portion sizes. Works for me
