  • CONGRATS!! You look AMAZING! :) So inspirational!
  • it's not a stupid question, I wondered the same thing before  If it's small cleaning i don't add it, but if it's my day off and it's spring-cleaning-mode time and I'm cleaning for an hour or two, I tend to add it:flowerforyou:
  • usmc, I hear ya, I've been working out but slacking on tracking my food and I think that's what's causing my weight to hang out longer than I want it to:grumble: It's amazing how much tracking the food really helps me lose weight, I ca't figure out why I stopped? Kid, we're all here to help motivate you!…
  • thanks faerygal!
  • Soaking dry beans in water overnight (or if you want to cook them at night, soak them in the morning so they're ready by the evening) helps dissolve the oligosaccharides (complex sugars) that cause the gas, making them easier to digest  (it's those complex sugars interacting with the bacteria in your colon that…
  • Wannabecullen, I totally hear you, I heart Forks  Happy Easter everyone!!:flowerforyou: (when I was little my mom hid the chocolate eggs from us to find...now I'm hiding from the chocolate! )
  • Great job wannabecullen and KC!! You gals are kickin butt!! :flowerforyou:
  • My weight can fluctuate in a day if I have too much sodium and a lot of water and eat off a bit by a few pounds, add my time of the month and, yeah...but then its back down a couple days later. I agree, take it again friday, cut down on sodium, and reevaluate. Don't get discouraged, you're doing awesome girl :flowerforyou:
  • Oops sorry a couple other things I forgot to add, my heart rate's around 55 bpm and sometimes lower when i'm training for endurance races, and every time I go to the dr they ask if I'm a runner/workout a lot (yep), and they say it's fine. Something to help see if you're overtraining is to take your resting heart rate when…
  • I've trained for half ironmans where I worked out for 2-4 hours a day, and now I spend up to 2 hours doing cardio and lifting...I also have friends that train for 5-7 hrs/day for ironmans...the key is proper nutrition and adequate rest. Weight bearing exercises increase bone mass, but overtraining with lack of nutrition…
  • I like full-body circuits so I don't have to rest between sets, making it more cardiovascular and upping my calorie burn. One example to start for at-home training if you have a pair of dumbbells (or you can find two water bottles if you don't have them) is: pushups, Rows, squats with shoulder presses, bicycle crunches,…
  • Hehe, I'm glad I make you laugh usmc, on the weeks I have no weight loss I figure as long as I had fun working out and I can still laugh, all's good right? Happy Monday everyone!!
  • I workout 5-6 days a week, with 1-2 days of rest (2 for the weeks I work out more intensely). Right now my split with lifting (I pair them so I can alternate body parts with min rest btwn sets, more cardio! ) is: - Monday- 30 minutes jumping rope, chest/biceps (~30 mins) -Tuesday- shoulders/plyometric jumps (~45…
  • I agree, I have to wait until it's not so hot to add soy milk. If I'm eating out and want a hot drink, sometimes I just order a soy cafe au lait or soy cappuccino, those come out fine
  • Great job Wannabecullen!!! :flowerforyou: usmc, , keep up the great work! It's okay to have a maintenance week in my opinion! (That's what I had, hehe  ) These last couple pounds are not wanting to go away, I wish they didn't love me so much! Soon!!:grumble: Happy tuesday everyone!!
  • ditto, I stick to getting my sugars mainly from fruits and whole grains, I'm more careful about foods with refined sugars, high fructose corn syrup, etc:smile:
  • mmm, sounds awesome!!
  • You look amazing, congrats!!! You rock that black dress! :)
  • AWESOME JOB!!! :) You look great!!
  • WB IsabellaCullen! :flowerforyou: Great job usmc you're kicking some major booty!! Yay New Moon on dvd tomorrow! Double yay for another week closer to eclipse! This week was a break even week for me, but sometimes I need one of those weeks! On the plus side, I feel myself getting stronger and stronger with…
  • thank you ladies for the info and your support!! :flowerforyou: If anyone feels like training for one let me know!
  • Both vitamin's B and C are water soluble, so you basically pee out what you don't need. Vitamin's A, D, E, and K are fat soluble, so it's not good to overload on those with multivitamins, as the excesses stay in the body...hope this helps! :)
  • thanks tan2nv! thanks for the site info pkgirrl!
  • Welcome to MFP!! :flowerforyou:
  • This sounds awesome! I love doing circuits like this at least once a week! I recently switched my squat jumps to sumo squat jumps, and man that difference killed! Something else I like are jumping lunges off a step, 20 reps on each side, and medicine ball throws on a decline bench
  • I love finding recipes on cookinglight.com! A lot of the dishes are rated and people list recommendations to modify the recipes in the reviews, too. I've had lots and lots of great dishes and baked goods from it, many of which were fish! I also like recipes from oxygenmag.com. Hope this helps! :flowerforyou:
  • great job usmc! I wonder if they'll show Remember me at the American theater here, I hope so...but at least I know they'll show Eclipse for sure, whoohoooo!!
  • Haha I agree, it's easier to wait not knowing anything...but I couldn't resist!
