Me, too. I've lost inches everywhere, but the waist is the slowest area. It's been frustrating.

Thirty M&Ms, 104 calories. Chai tea with 1 ounce of skim milk and one tablespoon honey, 80 calories. One medium honey crisp apple, about 90 calories. One medium banana, about 105 calories.

It doesn't *have* to mean nearly a week of no weight loss. If you're still at a calorie deficit, the weight loss process continues. Even so, maybe just try walking or swimming or stretching those days. Arm work and leg work, too.

I *always* weigh about 3 pounds more at my doctor's office. I think they do that to scare us into losing weight. ;-) Seriously, though, don't be discouraged. You HAVE lost the weight. The other scale just doesn't show it.

I started out with 180 to lose. I'm only half way there. But the difference this time is that I did NOT try to do it quickly. I'm in it for the long haul. Every other time I've tried, I've only managed to lose, at most, 30 pounds before quitting because it got boring or was taking too long. The key is to do it sensibly and…

Excellent!! And you're right... we'd all ditch the pants for that extra pound! :-)

I just found this thread! SOOOO glad to hear that hot flashes burn calories! :-) My husband calls them my "personal tropical vacations." I'm 50 with a lot of weight left to lose, but I've managed drop 86 pounds so far this year. I'd be glad to give and get some support!

I lost the first 60 pounds without exercise. I agree, exercise is for fitness, unless you're trying for an outrageous calorie burn so you can eat more... or lose faster.

Maybe you're getting close to your most healthy weight. Things always slow down as you get close to goal.

I have a 32 oz bottle that I refill. I wrote on it with a Sharpie 12p/4p/10p as a reminder to try to finish the bottle by those times each day. That's 96 oz of water in addition to whatever else I drink and what's in my food.

Seriously, best thread title ever. Add me!

An entire pint of eggnog at one sitting.

I've had my Christmas tree up for a week now.

I've lost almost half of the 180 pounds I plan to lose. Dan is exactly right... really, the only way you can fail is to quit (which I did approximately 12 zillion times before this). Feel free to add me, any of you. :-)

Impressive story, and EXACTLY what pretty much all of us need to hear. Have you considered blogging? I'd love to read more about your journey.

Could there possibly be a hormonal reason for your hunger? Some women get ravenous around their TOM and you just have to deal with it for a few days.

If you are more likely to do 3 x 10 than you are to do 30... do it. You will benefit either way.

One cup of cooked green peas: 134 calories, 25 carbs, 9 fiber, 9 protein. This is my go-to plan when I haven't gotten enough in my day.

^So much THIS.

If you get back on board with working on yourself, it can only help. You're young! There are other companies and other jobs that would value you and treat you better! But first... you have to treat YOURSELF well. Take care of yourself, and see where it takes you! (*)

Maybe gradually bring your calories back down? Start at 2100 for a few days, then 2000 for a week, then 1800, then 1600... see if that gets you back on track without excessive hunger.

That's a lot of stress all at once! Exercise is great for that, of course, but on your current restriction, you'll need to find another way to take care of yourself. Your body demanded extra sleep to help you cope, but there may be other (non-food) things you can do, such as listening to an audiobook while taking a long…

You could blog here. I think you would write some interesting stuff! Feel free to add me.

I usually end up UNDER calories when I'm sick, but going a bit over for a few days won't hurt anything. Just do whatever makes you feel better and helps you heal.

NSV = Non Scale Victory.

I skip lettuce entirely and go with chopped broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots, and use full fat Western and Ranch on it. I might add cheese hemp hearts or cashews or real bacon bits, but it's fine as it is, too.

I've lost about 80 of the 180 I need to lose. I log daily, and love to encourage people... and sometimes I need it myself. Feel free (any of you) to add me as a friend!

I've been eating bacon, candy, pizza, burgers, and a few other "bad" foods all along. I just eat much LESS of them. I used to get the whole meal, now it's just the burger, and I eat something healthier along with it. I used to eat 5 slices of pizza, now I eat one or two depending on the calorie count. I eat M&Ms, but…

I'm 50 and plan on having long hair for another couple of decades, at least. I don't much care what fashion dictates. ;)

I've read that 24 pounds is the "ideal" amount of weight to gain with a pregnancy. I would think anything under 30 pounds would be great, so even your 40 pound gains weren't that bad. Congrats on taking care of yourself!
