  • Trying to conceive as well. Started last Jan at 240, doc said to lose 20 lbs and was 200 by July and stayed there for the last couple months (got very slack with my logging). Nothing's happened yet, but still trying again this year to get down another 50 or so. Went back to logging - it really truly makes a difference. And…
  • There would be days when I was too lazy to pee so I would hold it as long as possible and drink Diet Coke to dehydrate myself. I would just sit on the couch from the time I got up until it was time for bed. For days at a time. Maybe even weeks.
  • Congrats on sticking with it and having the motivation and self-control to see it through! Very inspirational, and thanks for sharing! PS Do you have African Clawed Frogs? I have an 8 year old boy named Tad.
  • It was probably just a big surprise for her and she didn't know how to react. Don't feel insulted. I had a good friend - the one who encouraged me to sign up for MFP to be support for her - who told me that my pacing in front of the tv to get steps in was "cheating". I was mad about it for a couple weeks, but since I know…
  • Y'all are so inspiring!! A little over 30 since the beginning of the year (so almost 5 months.) I got a fitbit zip to push me to get my 10K every day (that's currently my only exercise amist a 50-hour-a-week desk job). I log each and every single bite of something I take. Every bit. :)
  • I am also at the heaviest I've been (started at 240) and slowly working my way down. I have a desk job, have hobbies like reading and genealogy and sewing and everything inactive. I joined MFP to be a support for a friend - and ended up it helped me. I have been doing well logging, and was happy to see it slowly coming…
  • The complications are true. My dad went on a drastic lifestyle change where he consumed way too few calories, and ended up with gallstones and eventually surgery to remove it. Talk to a nutritionist before eating only 700 calories a day.
  • I hate most vegetables. I tried most of the recipes in here (but spinach brownies didn't work): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000UZNREG/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B000UZNREG&linkCode=as2&tag=themarsqu08-20 and about half that are in here:…
  • Me too, I have gotten asked if I was pregnant more than I care to remember (and wasn't). Worst was in high school, at 5'3" and 130ish pounds, and visiting my grandparents. My grandfather hugged my mom, and said, "You've lost a lot of weight!", then turned to me and said, "And she gave it all to you!"
