  • Make sure you are getting enough healthy fats (olive oil, salmon, avocados, nuts, etc). If your diet is too low in fat it can cause dry hair and dry skin too. You could also add in an omega 3 supplement (I like wholemega brand) if you don't already take one. That might help.
  • Here's the link to it. It has padding, but it's removable. I bought a size smaller than I usually wear so it fits super snug. It's also onsale right now... http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=53934&vid=1&pid=731896&scid=731896162
  • Surprisingly, my favorite one is from Old Navy. It's very thick and supportive and the girls stay in place.
  • I just found out today that I'm hypothyroid and my doc is putting me on Armour. I've been working my butt off for months with only 2 lbs weight loss. Very frustrating! I'd love suggestions and advice from folks that have been managing this for a while or hav e taken this medication. Feel free to add me!
  • I like Natural Factors, Whey Factors 100% Natural Whey Protein. It has 80 calories per scoop/serving, 2 g fat, 1 g sugar, and 15 g protein. I like both french vanilla and double chocolate. I get it at our local healthfood store.
  • I have a Polar FT7 and I LOVE it! It tells me how many calories I burn are fitness and how many are fat burning. This really motivates me! I got mine online...
  • There isn't much of a price difference between ground or whole at the store I buy them at (Sprouts). Maybe it's different where you live. They stay fresh if you store them in the fridge and you get the same health benefits....
  • You can buy them already ground up so it's much easier. I buy the Bob's organic brand. You can get them at most health food stores.
  • I think it's the aspartame that's really bad. Gives you some serious brain fog... I made a choice to give up diet sodas for the most part and try to stick with water. I wasn't getting my water in that I needed because I was always sipping diet coke. They are very addictive and hard to give up. I also gave up sugar at the…
  • I love asparagus! That's a great idea!
  • That is incredible and very inspiring! I'm so happy for you!
  • I think you should discuss this with your doctor. Anti-depressants can cause a lot of side effects so it is important to make sure your doctor is aware.
  • I've heard so many conflicting things on this too. I've even heard you can't exercise while on it because your calories are so low (not sure if it's true, just what I've heard). 500 cals a day is not enough to function... I just wonder what happens when you get off of it? I would think your body would gain it back quickly…
  • This is great advice! Thanks so much for posting!
  • I love to do this! You can add orange slices, strawberries, lemons, even cucumbers to change up the flavor without adding sugar or artificial sweeteners.
  • Yum! This sounds really good and looks easy to make. Thanks for sharing!
  • I'm thinking about starting it too, but I'm a little nervous. I'm not really much of a runner. I know by then end of the program you run the whole 30-40 mins. That seems really hard to me! Would love to hear from folks that accomplished this and weren't runners before!
  • You look great! I see a huge difference in your face and abs! Way to go! :)
  • This recipe sounds yummy! I will have to give this a try! :)
  • Keep doing what your doing - it's clearly working! 20 lbs in 2 weeks is amazing! Great job! :)
  • Way to go! You look great! ;)
  • I think the HRM is more accurate because it is based on your actual heart rate instead of an estimate (the higher your heartrate the more you burn). I also use a HRM (Polar FT7) and I had to add my stats when I got it (weight and height) and it takes that into consideration too when calculating cals burned.
  • It depends on the kind of protein powder you are using. Some are extremely high in calories, fat and sugar. I use Natural Factors - 100% Whey Protein (vanilla) I got it at a whole foods store. It has only 80 calories per scoop, 1 g sugar, 2 g fat and 15 g protein. I add it to 1 cup unsweetened almond milk with some berries…
  • Here's the summary from Amazon about the book. This sums it up really good. The DVD/Bible study is 6 weeks and helps you to apply what you learn in real life. I understand the concepts now it's time to put them to work! It's a great book, I would recommend to anyone with struggling with emotional eating (my big issue!).…
  • Way to go! That is quite an accomplishment. You look great!
  • Whoops - I forgot to quote before my last post. I'm still learning how to use this site! lol HRM is heart rate monitor. I have a Polar FT7 and love it. because I know exactly how many calories I burn during a workout. It also tells me how many mins of my workout burned fat and how many were fitness/conditioning. You can…
  • HRM is heart rate monitor. I have a Polar FT7 and love it. because I know exactly how many calories I burn during a workout. It also tells me how many mins of my workout burned fat and how many were fitness/conditioning. You can get them at sporting goods stores (****s, Academy, or Sports Authority) or online.
  • I have a heart rate monitor so I can see my actual calories burned during a workout. I find I burn more calories during my weight lifting if I do cardio first. The higher the heartrate the more cals you burn. Depends on your goal (burning the most cals or just toning up). You can also mix it up by doing cardio for a few…
  • Logging my food has really made me realize how much "grazing" I do. I do a lot of tasting when I cook, eating off of my kids plates when they are done, a little piece of chocolate here and there....etc. Obviously this all adds up! I've been trying not to do these things now since I cringe when I have to write it all down!
