I love this post! I'm a slow runner, too. I usually run at a 5.0 - 5.2 mph. I can walk almost as fast as that! A fellow MFP friend calls it "wogging". I really like to focus on increasing my distance and endurance and don't worry to much about speed (obviously). :)

I'm about 5'6 1/2 and my goal weight is 145 and I've maintained that weight before. I looked great and felt great at that weight. I have a medium/large build. Seems like like this is realistic as most of us at this height on this thread have a similar weight goal! :)

I have the same problem with my Polar FT7 which I've had for almost 2 years. Some days it seems to be off and I will lose my heart rate several times. I've been wondering if I need a new chest strap battery. Think I may try replacing the battery. I would be surprised if that was your issue because your HRM is brand new.

You could order a Chicken fajita salad without the cheese and sour cream. You could use salsa as your dressing. Be careful on the chips because those alone can blow your day (I know from experience because my favorite food is chips and salsa!). Enjoy!! :)

Hi! I'm from North Texas area. My doctor suggested clean eating to me so I bought Tosca Reno's Clean Eating Recharged book. I just started the Cooler 1 plan this week. So far so good! I'd love to hear what about what others have done on clean eating, what works, good recipes, etc. Glad to be here!! :)

You could use a full and push one side against the wall and a rail on the other side. If you already have the full bed then it doesn't make sense to buy a toddler bed. My daugher has outgrown her toddler bed and ready to move to a bigger bed...she's 3 1/2.

I took a beginner Zumba class last night. My class also alternated between slow and fast because she was stopping to teach us the moves. I wore my HRM and burned 350 cals in 60 mins.

I like to drink tea at night - decaf herbal. My favorite is vanilla honey chamomile. I add a little stevia to it. It makes me feel like I'm having a sweet treat and it fills my tummy. Weight loss shouldn't impact your heart rate. You need to increase intensity or speed in your running to get your heart rate higher. I like to do short bursts of sprints periodically in my running (30-60 seconds).

Sounds like a TOM thing to me, too. I gained 6 lbs the day before my period started last month then the dropped off after TOM was over. I would recommend only weighing weekly and not daily so those fluctuations don't discourage you. Keep drinking that water and watch the salt intake! You are doing great!!!
