  • I didn't tell my husband that I was starting MFP or trying to lose weight. I started in January and finally asked him at the end of March, if he noticed. I'd lost 18 lbs and he hadn't said a word! He said he noticed but didn't know how much. When I told him, he couldn't believe it! He then started bragging to everyone…
  • Hi! I'm a little taller (5'6). but I have a similar amount of weight to lose. Just started here in January and love it! I'm happy to encourage and motivate as much as I can! I'm sending you a friend request.
  • Thanks for the recipe! Always looking for more gluten free ideas.
  • Hi and welcome to MFP! I'm 51 and have only been on here since January, but tracking everything really works for me. I've lost 18 lbs since 1/1/14. I eat differently because I know that I have to log whatever I decide to eat. I do think that being 50+ makes it harder. Having friends on here who cheer me on really helps,…
  • I haven't seen the diet, but because my son has Celiac disease, I cook mostly gluten free for our family. It's not realy that hard to do wheat free - you just have to think a little more! I can give you a lot of tips and recipe ideas. Send me a friend request if you'd like.
  • Sounds great! Love sweet potatoes!

  • Hi to all! I'm new here - just joined last week. I definitely need to get here more often to keep up! Susan - I'm sure that the weight gain from yesterday is from the salt in the pizza and onion rings. I admire you're determination to start losing weight now after all you've been through. I didn't think you were venting at…
  • I'm just one month in and lost 9 lbs, but know that I'll start losing more slowly. I can use all of the support I can get! I'll do my goals, etc. later, but wanted to mark this thread so I don't lose it!! Laurie from St. Charles Missouri - just outside St. Louis

  • By the time my youngest son was 7, his two grandpas and one grandma had passed away. Enjoy your parents; they are not permanent fixtures. Send the snacks you want your child to eat with them when they visit and know that when the grandparents do something you don't like, it comes from them loving their grandchildren and…
  • You definitely need to get a diagnosis. If you need to "cut back" on gluten it's completely different than having Celiac disease. Untreated Celiac can lead to a lot of health issues. If you quit eating gluten and then get tested, the test won't be accurate. If you do have Celiac, feel free to send a friend request. My son…
  • One tip for roasts - like others have said, it will dry out easily because there's not much fat in deer, so season it well and put it in a slow cooker. Add some beef broth for moisture and don't lift the lid while it's cooking.
  • I'm new here! I have 4 kids - the youngest are 13 and 16 and I'm 51. During my mom's illness and then passing and my son's illness, I let my weight get away from me. I'm a stress eater and I love food in general. Need to get down to a healthier weight and stay there!
