I take a Flinstones Vitamin everyday. It has everything that the Women's One a Day does, but doesn't mess with me. I discovered these when I was pregnant and the prenatal vitamins would make me really sick. Plus, now my son can take them, so I'm only buying one kind of vitamin for the whole family. :-)

I might drop it down to like 4.5 hours of the walking. I prefer to error on the side of caution. There will be times when you are sitting (on rides or on a bench) so I wouldn't think that you would be walking the whole 6 hrs. Either way, if you are going on coasters, I'm sure that will get the heart pumping :-) Have a…

I personally put in the unprepared because I rarely make things per box instructions. I never add butter or oil (for example) and only ever use skim milk. So I can use the prepared calories. I hope that gives you some insight. :-)

I think if you can do what you are doing, do it, then next week get back to the program. My sister and I followed the program rather closely, but we have stopped doing the recommended (we are towards the end) and are just trying to increase our time. We know we won't be able to do the 5K in 30 minutes our speed just isn't…

When I go out, and I know it is going to be a lot of calories, I have them bring a box out right away. I actually count out the fries (I know, nerd) and put half of the whole meal away before taking my first bite. I don't want to look at it. If it is on my plate, I will eat it! Enjoy your evening out :-D

I watched the video of this, and am a little confused. (I also watched a couple other videos of people doing this) What is the confusion? I thought you weren't supposed to ever let your knee go past your toes, and all of those people that were demonstrating that did. Maybe it is just because that is life and no way around…

Technically speaking, you don't need to burn any, technically. MFP already puts a deficit in depending on what you wet your goesl at. For example, if you set to lose a pound a week, it subtracted 500 cals a day from your lifestyle in order to get to the 1200. When you exercise, you actually gain calories that you can eat!…

I have a lot of issues falling asleep. My mind is always going, and at night, with nothing to distract me, it is worse. What I do is a crossword puzzle, logic puzzles, read, anything to "wear out" my mind. The reading doesn't always work, especially if I really get into the book, but the crosswords and logic puzzles help.…

5'6" 141lbs size 4. Thanks for starting this! This has always been a curiosity of mine :-)

If you have a mini fridge, I would get slimfast shakes, get them cold and wrap in aluminum foil. Throw that in the back pack. It was something I could have on the run. But also, cheese, nuts, fruits, granola bars, etc are great to have as well and good for you (just watch the sugar on the granola bars) Best way to go is to…

Unfortunately, I know nothing of the child support law in Canada. In the US, the arrears are there forever and you can keep trying to get the money out of him (even the children can try to get the arrears, if say, you were deceased), or they will put the dead beat parents in jail. If I'm reading it right, he is offering…

Congrats! Many happy years for the couple! BTW, love Rocky Horror Picture Show :-)

Thanks for posting! Losing is one thing, but I'm concerned with the keeping off long term. I really appreciated that read. :-)

My scale converts to grams, ounces, pounds, kilos...so I don't have that problem, but I can understand your frustration if that is all that your scale does.

Yea for compliments! 55 lbs is a huge accomplishment. Good for you!

Congrats on making connections and wanting to change! I'm pulling for you. I know you can do you it, if you really want it. :-) And think of all the money you will be saving!

How tall are you? That seems awfully low for a man to only be eating 1200 cals. Do you eat your exercise cals? Also, are you set to lose 1 or 2 pounds a week? My husband was at about the same weight as you when he started and set to lose 1 pound a week. MFP had him at like 1950 cals and he has lost a good deal of weight.…

I log it as circuit training, and I think some others do as well. My first day doing the shred was no problem, but the next day I could have died. I have a 2 year old and getting down to the floor to play with him was killer! But it gets better, just keep moving and your body will love you for it.

Another thing that could help, is when you are drink your wine or other adult beverages, have a glass of water in between. So you are still enjoying yourself with your pals and indulging, but you are also helping to flush some of it out and fill you up. :-) Remember, lifestyle not diet. I always say you DIE on a DIE-T but…

Thanks! You can do it if you really want it :-)

With all the food you said you ate, a lot might just be the sodium holding on to water. Keep on going! You have made it this far :-)

Way to go! I bet the doctor was happy as well :-)

Welcome to your new life! I hope it treats you well :-D

WooHoo! Keep it up!

Are you driving? If so pack a cooler with healthy snacks, perhaps labeled for when you can have them. Take time to take a walk around, great exercise and hopefully a nice view :-) Main thing, remember to enjoy yourself and make decisions that are right for you...whether or not they ask why you chose a salad. The other…

I know a lot of women will not weight themselves until after at least a week of their period being over, to let the body readjust. Don't be discouraged. Make sure you are getting your fluids in to help wash away that extra bloat/water weight. Also, were you weighing yourself at the same time in the same way? First thing in…

Brava! Amazing how since you see yourself every day, you don't see the transformations! You are looking great!

Brussel sprouts and collard greens. Just not my cup of tea. Bananas are okay, but I loathe the film that it leaves on your teeth.
