I wondered the same thing but I did try the diet soda though. I had replaced my oils with applesauce for years. It made it so much more moist. Great point!!!!

I hear ya on the diet soda being bad for you... you know, I can only cut back a little at a time here.... so give me grace along with a break. I made one about 2 weeks ago. I used a name brand mix (can't remember.. did you know diet soda's affect memory loss? LOL). It was a dark chocolate flavor. I used a 12 oz can of Diet…

What kind of kabob are you eating? I'm thinking if it's loaded with chicken, tomatoes, peppers, onions, mushrooms, squashes, onions, zucchini brushed with a little olive oil and sprinkled with a pinch of sea salt.... what would be the problem? You know.... that sounds really good.

I agree... don't be so hard on yourself. Just forget about it and today is a new day

OK.. I checked out the skinnytaste.com. I think I'm going to love that site too. Just at a glance, there are simple yet creative things to eat that are very appealing to the eye.

I can make a fool of myself over Mexican food. I absolutely LOVE allrecipes.com. I'm also going to check out the other website mentioned SKINNYTASTE.COM.

I feel that way too sometimes. I feel like if I lose weight, I'm going to look funny. It's like my weight has become my identity or something. I don't think it's stupid but I'm wondering if it's a way to subconsciously sabotage yourself... at least I think that for me. If I think I will look better with the weight, then I…

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not vegetarian but I don't eat pork products. Gelatin is a pork product unless it's kosher gelatin...that ticks me off!!!!

Technically, diet is really anything you put in your mouth. Your diet can be good or bad. However, in this day and age, DIET is used as a strict eating pattern, so to speak. I do not use that word. I don't really talk about it to be honest with you except on here. I, too, call it a lifestyle. It's becoming a part of me.…

I'm reading in 2 books... one is easy reading and the other is more mind consuming. Easy: Beauty Secrets of the Bible- Ginger Garrett Mind consuming: Deadly Emotions: Understand the Mind-Body-Spirit Connection That Can Heal or Destroy You- Dr. Don Colbert Dr. Colbert is one of my favorite authors. I have not been…

I'm sooooo glad you posted the process pics. I would have never though baking them would look good. They really don't look different that the fried. I'll definitely use this technique. I had been craving egg rolls but didn't want to waste the fat and calories for a fried one. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fit and Active also has faux cheezits in individual serving bags for 100 cal. Yes, they're empty calories but they are a nice little 'cheat'.

I had found a recipe in Fitness Magazine that included cumin and chili powder. I didn't look at this recipe but roasted chick peas are easy and definitely worth checking out.

I know!!!!! I feel like I'm training my eyes and stomach all over.

I have not had time to go through all of the posts but I would encourage her to measure her inches and not go by the weight. She may be significantly surprised with those results. As far as her feeling better, you may not be able to do anything. Just be sensitive yet strong. Don't let her go on pity parties but encourage…

I'm so glad to hear you haven't done some outrageous stuff that normal people can't do. It just shows doing it right really pays off. You're inspiring beyond words, my dear. I'm believing in the healing of your ACL to be quick. You should be very proud of yourself. ((APPLAUSE))

Stevia is what saved my herbal teas. I also mix my flavored teas. I mix some green tea with peppermint.. that's my favorite and to every 2 quarts, I add 2 packets of Stevia or Truvia. I also mix in apple cinnimon with regular black tea too. On ice is off thoe hook with herbal teas.. I can't express STEVIA STEVIA STEVIA…

I see a lot of people say salsa... well, salsa is what makes the omelet to me!! I know you said you really don't have many points left for dinner but if you put on a TBS of sour cream.. that just makes me happy. Also, I like to saute up a pinch of spinach too. If I have baked chicken left over form dinner, I'll throw that…

I have heard of that happening. I think it's pretty common. ~Are you doing the same workouts every time? ~Are you consuming enough calories? ~Are you consuming too many calories? ~Are you getting enough sleep? ~Are you carrying extra stress? ~Are you taking meds that can hinder weight loss? All of these things can…

I'm gonna have to give the Laughing Cow stuff a try. I think my favorite snack is almonds. I buy the 100 calorie packs (I forget the brand but it's a green box) and nibble on a a few at a time throughout the day. The protein really curbs the appetite when it's not time to have a meal. :) If I haven't used a lot of calories…

You're absolutely right. The serving size is 24 bite size chips. If 24 chips isn't giving me satisfaction, then I need to put it away until I can get a grip. Thanks for confronting me with that. No offense was taking... you're just keeping it real.

WOW.. who would have thought that?
