  • I enjoy a good bowl of popcorn air popped! Sometimes I add a little Peruvian Chili Lime mix and its so so good. Other times a little bit of homemade chai spice. When you make it yourself and limit your toppings it can act as a wonderful snack or even dessert :)
  • What you are doing sounds fine, but you might just want to switch it up a bit. Like do a day of running - intervals is fine with a higher work speed and then a rest speed that pushes you just a bit, with maybe some light yoga. Then do your day of three things. Then do a day on the elliptical for a longer period of time…
  • Sweet Potato Puff from Marlene Koch's "Eat What You Love" Makes 8 servings 2 lbs dark sweet potatoes or yams (2 cups mashed) 1 cup canned pumpkin puree 1 large egg 3 large egg whites 1/2 cup light sour cream 2/3 cup Splenda granulated sweetener 1 tbsp margarine or butter, melted 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp baking powder…
  • I like it best without the skin but usually leave it on. If its a long slow cooking soup the skin will probably tenderize a bit.
  • I suppose it really depends on what you want out of them. If you are truly thinking a light snack the luna bar might not be the best option, depending on your calorie goal for the day that may be almost 1/4 of your daily allotment. Maybe a FiberOne bar or the Cascadian Farm granola bars. There are all around 150 calories…
  • I know this is frustrating, but add in the current weight into the weight tracker. Often when we switch scales its just not the same, same if you switch up the time of day you are weighing yourself. If you are really concerned you need to either weigh naked or with the exact same clothes each and every time as there can be…
  • I think 30DS in a great starter program. It has three different workout levels and they show modifications for the beginner and advanced. If you have OnDemand, you should try some of the workout programs offered on the Fitness Channel and see what feels good.
  • Healthy weight loss is about 1-2 lbs a week, and if you want to keep it off that should be your goal. Also, make sure you are drinking enough water - more than the recommended 8 cups, it will help fill you up and clean you out (bloating & more).
  • Yay for eating breakfast. Its the most important meal because it really does get your metabolism going. You may want to add in some healthy snacks a few times a day - 1/2 an apple, almonds, yogurt, or something along those lines. You'll have less total calories to "spend" on lunch and dinner, but you'll be satisfied and…
  • Maybe try some wraps - low carb filled with veggies. Yogurt - the greek yogurts from Fage are high in protein and taste pretty good. Trail mix - though watch this because some are filled with sugar but a variety of nuts equal good fats and protein. Fruit salad, sliced apples. Hummus w/healthy crackers, carrots, celery,…
