Happy Thursday! @steplaj thank you for the kind words, back attcha! @orngnerdz I do CI/CO with a 1500 calorie limit. I am just getting back to logging, I took a break from the end of November until New Years. I was so happy that I had gained only 3.6 lb over the holidays. I'm still fighting to get those 2 liters a day of…

Obesity runs in my family. My mother and uncle were morbidly obese, my maternal grandmother was overweight, as well. My great grandmother was 6' with a large build. I'm 5'10 with a large build. I have quite a few pounds to lose myself. My mom had food issues as far back as I can remember. She would strictly diet, then give…

It's when you have that moment that it all "clicks" and you realize, I get this. I have done diets since I was a kid. Cabbage Soup, Slimfast, Atkins, Weight Watchers...you name it. I lost on them all, but I gained it right back and usually more. Now I get it. Anyone can lose if you have a calorie deficit, but you can't get…

Hi Puppybear1! I started at my highest weight of 389.8, I'm now at 336 and still a work in progress. I'm not a low-carber, but I do try to stay away from a lot of white bread, white pasta and white rice. I do a lot of scratch cooking to keep away from too much processed stuff. Feel free to add me as a friend!

I use it like rice in stuffed peppers.

I agree that little changes add up. Little things like swapping whole grain bread for white bread, brown rice for white rice, baked chicken for fried chicken, and so on. Cutting back on soda or cutting it out helps, too. I like to look thru my friends food diaries to get ideas, the members here have some great ideas. Feel…

Please feel free to add me, I think its great to have friends that have a longer goal and know how aggravating it can get.

I'm trying to lose close to the amount you are and I'm always looking for friends so we can help each other along. I keep my diary open and love to share recipes and ideas.

Did you find that the plan helped you or was it the fact that you knew you your weight would be recorded weekly that helped you stay on track? Thank you for your replies,I have alot to lose and I feel that I cant get past the 40 pounds I have been losing and gaining most of my life.
-
Congratulations on your loss, it's amazing! Did you use a certain plan?

I tried it, it's pretty good. I don't go to McD's very often, but if I do I usually get the egg white delight, the yogurt parfait, a salad or a Happy Meal--it's the right portion.

I made home made chili. I cook my beans, use canned no-salt diced tomatoes, onion, green pepper and ground turkey. When it starts to get low, I throw some whole wheat pasta in and call it chili-mac.

This looks really good, thanks for posting! I'm Irish and German so I love cabbage and new ways to fix it.

with a kettle you could do oatmeal or cup-a-soup. Maybe an thermal food jar to pack a hot dish in, like veggies, meat and rice or soup.

You can only put in recipe name, ingredients and number of servings,

I only log here. Fitbit syncs my steps and sends my steps here and mfp syncs my food, water, and exercise there.

I'm making tater tot casserole. I made my own tots, my own cheese sauce with almond milk, and ground turkey.
