I also suggest the C25K program.. I am not a runner by any means... but managed to finish a 5K by following that program. It starts you off slowly.. but pushes to do more. GOOD LUCK!

Two years ago i did the program the first time.. i was around 280... and did my first 5K...I've started again.. and over 300... just start slow... repeat weeks if you need to.. and get good shoes!!!

Yes to the treadmill... i can't run outside in this heat... blah... plus i'm still a little too embarrassed to run outside.. my job is probably slower then some people's walk.. ha ha.. 9 glasses of water.. NO PROBLEMO... i try to get 12 glasses in at work every day.. cause i know i suck at it when i get home.

1100 burned.. I had mine taken out about 2 years ago.. I haven't really noticed a difference in eating either... however now that i've started eating better... i might notice that what i was 'used' to... wasn't normal..ha ha

I still wear my maternity swim suite.. but find it still floats up to the top of the water... so as soon as i get in... i tuck it into my bottoms.. lol.. i just have to remember to UNTUCK when i get out..;)
