I totally stalk that man's food diary too! edit: On a side note, when I see food diary's pop up in my feed I tend to look at them. However, I'm one of those people who get enjoyment from looking at food pic's on facebook too so yeah.... :blushing:

I hear great things about Optimum Nutrition but right now I'm using Pure Protein Vanilla Creme flavor and I like it. Right now my problem is price, I use it very regularly now and my "monthly" supply isn't gonna be lasting no month.

and here I am....all sad panda and the like....because I DIDN'T get any girl scout cookies this year. They are worth fitting into the dairy lol!

A lot of people find they are hungry some days and less hungry others, so they have a weekly calorie goal rather than a daily one. I would not look at it like they are eating nothing some days and eating tons of food others. More than likely it is still relatively even, just lower some days, higher others. If you look at…

I'm not really working out atm and I've been just eating at a deficit. I'm losing really consistently so far. I need to though, my resting heart rate is really poor (85). I'm hoping as I get to a healthier weight it will go down, I have a feeling exercise is gonna be key. I just find it really hard to get up the willpower…

The only salad I've been able to eat and enjoy has been from olive garden. I have the dressing at home but I'm still not sure what they put in it lol. XD

I don't but I can see why many people do. I think if I lived alone I would but when you live with other people I tend to find it very hard because the planned meals end up falling through a lot in this house because people change their minds what they want. I kinda just try and eat breakfeast and lunch then plan my…

What are the IIFYM people setting their macros to, out of curiosity?

*slams head on desk* I don't know where people get this nonsense, but my entire family screams this crap at me every time they see me adding protein powder to anything. I try and tell them you don't accumulate fat unless you eat excess amount of calories, but nope, my family was having none of it. You should have seen…

Green Smoothie I weigh everything out, which takes a min, but it always has: Either Spinach or Kale Strawberries Blueberries or Mango Lemon Juice Coconut Oil Milk Protein Powder

Are you weighing the foods you eat. Unless you tell us you weigh everything (from flour to sauce to EVERYTHING except maybe liquids), then you cannot tell us that you are not overeating. Start weighing your food. I would also start using mfp, instead of a real journal, you may not be accurately logging, mfp makes it easy.…

I always eat light breakfast and lunch and have a healthy sized dinner. Usually like 60% calories go to dinner, sometimes more.

Some reasons are: If they are overweight, it is very easy to eat that number and lose weight still, my goal was 1 pound a week and it set my calorie goal to 1750ish. (I changed my goal to 1.5 pounds a week and now I'm at 1490) Another thing is many people exercise, then eat back their exercise calories, so while the number…

A water fast does not mean you don't drink water, it means you consume nothing BUT water.
-
I've never personally done it, but to me it doesn't even sound pleasant or healthy. Just eat a deficit and you will lose weight. To get rid of water weight just try to drink more water and balance your sodium with potassium.
-
I can still eat the foods I like, but in moderation. No more eating until I'm stuffed.

Yes, I eat back my net calorie loss. When I do cardio I take what my heart rate monitor tells me I burned, which is a gross number, then calculate the net. I eat back all those calories. I don't eat back strength training calories, mainly because I've found no accurate way to determine how much I'm burning.

I make a list of what I'm gonna eat that week, then go to the grocery with that list. This helps me not buy things I don't need. I take my local grocer's weekly "on sale" list, and if something sparks my interest I make sure to make a run for the grocery that day. Buying healthier foods is actually more expensive if you do…

I love the new requirement for potassium, will have to update several of my nutritional info's for things as that gets added in. The format kills me, I don't mind the percentages being on the left, but the column header clearly says %'s, they didn't need to add a percentage after every number as well.

There is a group somewhere on this website for people who do this. However, I find just eating within a set calorie limit everyday is easier. As long as your weigh everything you should get an accurate calorie count. Just go with a reasonable deficit that you can find sustainable.

edit: Just noticed your age, your too young for this website.

It is very easy to order coconut oil online from places like amazon, it will take a while to thaw out though once you get it in the house and out of the cold. Extra Virgin Olive Oil I'm assuming would be easy to find anywhere, won't effect the taste of the smoothie much either! You can also use things like peanut butter if…

Rebounding (Mini-Trampoline), its easy on my injured knee. I run / walk in place on it as well.

I've seen two different forms of intermittent fasting on these forums. One is where you eat like insanely low some days and higher other days. However, you keep the same weekly average as anybody else. The other is when people link this: http://www.1percentedge.com/ifcalc/ All I can gather from that calculator is that on…

Before I joined mfp I lost around 40 pounds by cutting down on portion sizes on my own during the 2013 year. I am still considered obese but I can tell you my weight loss journey so far has made me happier simply based on mood. However, in terms of other "stresses" in life besides our image / health, weight loss won't…

Couple of things. Did you put your weight loss per week to 2 lbs? 1200 seems low. Suggestions often include this: and are you eating back some of your exercise calories? If you are not then you are eating below a net calorie of 1200, which is dangerous. The exercises you are doing seem alright.

I plan ahead. The week before or the week I will leave myself a couple hundred calories left over at the end of the day. The day of I eat light for all the other meals besides the one going out. I see how many calories I have left over from that day + the deficit I left myself throughout the week. A little research will…
