Have you tried adapting the recipes you make? So things like less oil, steaming instead of frying, sweet potato fries baked instead of fried. Maybe you are trying to do too much at once and overwhelming yourself. Try doing small changes, drink more water, move more, watch your portions but still enjoy your food. Maybe get…

I think it's pretty easy. The MY HOME is your home page. Start there. Look at the tabs at the top. Add food and your exercise as needed. COMMUNITY is where you are typing - you obviously figured out that. Go to My Topics to see what you have posted and any replies There is also a search button so you can search for answers.

Nice day. You're OBVIOUSLY a pro at this, I think I have a lot to learn from you! I've been looking for a good protein powder. What is in the Sun Warrior Vanilla Protein Powder? Where do you get it from, and how do you like the taste? _________________________ I don't know how the quote thing works so I just cut and paste…

Hi I am adopted. They say Scottish, English, Irish and Welsh mix but I don't know for sure if it's true When people meet me they tend to think they know me and that I look familiar to them. Sometimes they will suddenly often speak to me in their language and expect me to understand. (I speak English and a bit of French…

I think this is going to be a personal thing to figure out what you think is "clean" Personally I think coffee is fine. I would say refined white sugar is not great but if you can find an alternative like honey that would be okay I stopped drinking coffee because it was giving me migraines, not because it is not "clean"

Hi I just found this group and wanted to join. My name is Jade. I am a wife and mom. My toddler is almost 5. I try to cook 99% of our food but struggle because our son has sensory issues and will not eat certain foods. It is not just him being a stubborn kid, it is Sensory Processing Disorder which means his brain is wired…

Don't panic. For a long time the only thing your baby will be doing is eating, sleeping, pooping and need washed. As long as you have that stuff covered you will be fine. My son who is almost 5 now, slept beside me and nursed almost non stop the first week (he was a large baby) You need a carseat to get the baby home from…

I met my husband later in my life so my son was born when I was 35. I can tell you that for me personally, it was a very difficult being pregnant and for labour. I had complications and they do consider 35 "high risk" Don't let anyone tell you that there isn't more risk the older you get, there is. Don't believe the…

You can do this! Just an example, I've lost 10lbs but my waist measurement is the same. It's because that is the last place weight comes off on me. Meh. I am okay with that. Everyone is different and every body will drop weight in a different way. Def drink lots of water and cut down sodium As for your brother, he's old…

First of all you have a nice boss, so enjoy that. Secondly I would tell my boss how awesome he/she is and then just tell your boss that you are trying to eat healthier please don't purchase it for me. How about bringing your boss and office mates a healthy yummy alternative that you do eat? Not to convert anyone of course,…

It's going to be okay. My thinking is that if you are eating all that you must still be hungry and/or lacking in some nutrients or energy. I would urge you to examine your diet and see if you are getting everything you need including enough calories. processed sugar and junk food is highly addictive. Try to find…

If you have a local second hand store you will probably find a slow cooker there. The ones near me always have at least 1-2 on the shelf. Your stay at home wife will appreciate the slow cooker. I am sure she works her butt off doing a million things you don't even realize when you are gone :)

Buy what is in season regarding fruits and vegetables. Artichoke hearts are not in season and thus more expensive. Lentils are great for adding a "meat" component to dishes either when you don't want to add meat or want to extend what you have (ie add lentils and use less meat) When I cook vegetables I always cook onions,…

Check the temperature of your fridge. It may not be cold enough. I believe it is 36-40F for the fridge and 0F for the freezer. no matter how we stored produce in our old fridge the temp was off so food always spoiled fast. Also don't wash anything ahead of time or hull strawberries Keep apples away from other fruit unless…

water, unsweetened tea and unsweetened almond milk. I cut out coffee because it triggers migraines for me as do artificial sweeteners I juiced a watermelon last week and mixed that with water for my husband who HATES drinking water, and he loved it! He is slowly letting go of his Coca Cola habit which was/is a severe…

I love peanut butter, if you look at my food diary you will laugh because I eat it every day. I do include it into my calories and measure it out though, and DON'T bring the jar with you!

Hello I am 5'10" tall. Starting weight 279lbs, currently 273lbs. This sounds awful. Going from zero calorie diet soda to lotsa calories of juice. If I'm going to add calories, I better damn well be eating them!

Not store bought juice! That is just sugar water. I mean real juice using vegetables and fruit and a good quality juicer. Sorry I am new to this so I didn't do…

Just my 2 cents from a recovering Coca Cola addict: either water it down, gradually adding less soda to the point where you don't need the soda anymore or try incorporating juicing into your diet. I found when I juice more, cravings for all sorts of foods are eliminated or cut way back.

Hi I just joined a few days ago. I am trying to be healthier (once again) I am hoping a support network helps. I am 39 with a mom belly that just never left and he's almost 5 so no more excuses!
