Yes, I am using Wahoo which tracks GPS, speed, cadence and heart rate. It also knows my height and weight.

Honestly, I am just going for the aesthetic aspect. I was tired of looking the way I did and decided to change it.

Thanks for the reply's. It looks like the 5/3/1 program is pretty popular. I am going to check that one out. I think my main goals right now are to loose a little more weight while gaining definition. I feel I still have quite a bit to cut in the chest and abs area. Before I started on the 5x5 program, I was like many…

I do stretch, but maybe not enough. If it was a stretching issue, would the problem go away when I put on an Ace knee stabilizer, then immediately re-appear as soon as I take it off? No sarcasm intended, just an honest question.

I scheduled an appt. with the doc tomorrow so I will see what he says. It has been 3 weeks and no progress in either direction so I would rather play it safe. I have been wearing an Ace knee stabilizer during workouts and strenuous activity. When I have that on, everything is fine. My knee moves like it is supposed to and…

I went on a trip to Vegas last month and indulged in the buffets they had there. I have no doubt that I was probably eating 4000 calories and up on a couple of those days. While I did gain about 5 pounds while I was on that trip, it all fell off within a couple of day after getting back once I resumed eating healthy and…

I did the Advocare 24 day challenge and it was a great jumpstart for me. I lost almost 20 pounds while doing it. The trick was I was very strict on the program as to what I ate and drank. I know other people who did it and did not loose anything at all. Some even gained. For me, I knew that I had spent the money on it and…

I just came off of a 2 week plateau like that. For me, it took temporarily lowering my exercise and raising my calories to get moving again. I went up slightly, then started dropping again. I raised my calories from around 1200 - 1300 to around 1400 - 1600 and have been keeping it there. A weekend of 2500 - 3500 calorie…

I eat Chipotle all the time for lunch. Get Chicken or Steak, drop the Tortilla and rice, then get either cheese or sour cream, not both. Makes the meal under 500 calories. Mine usually looks like this: Salad with steak, fajita veggies, black beans, tomato salsa, hot salsa, 1/4 spoon of sour cream, 1/4 spoon of cheese. Mmm,…

I honestly don't care for water that much either, however, for some reason, I found that when I put it in my blender bottle with crushed ice, it taste better. Maybe it is because some of the leftover taste from something I mixed in there, or maybe something else. Might be worth a try. I drink 10+ cups of water a day, but…

Thanks. I know that 10 days isn't that long. Just seems like a coincidence that I started taking the Vortex and stopped dropping at the same time. I have read that creatine will inhibit weight loss so I want to make sure I am not sabotaging myself by taking it.

I have the exact same situation as you. I was up around 275 pounds with an "emergency" situation when I took my sleep study 7 years ago. I have used my cpap machine every day 100% since then. My neck size back then was around 21". After getting on the machine, I certainly felt much better and more alert during the day.…

Strange, when I checked earlier, it showed my calories at -38 putting me at 1164 for my daily goal, however I just checked again and I was only at -2 now, putting me right at 1200. I guess it just took time to update. I forgot my fitbit today so it showed 0 activity. Thanks for the link.

I have been wearing Oakley's for over 10 years. I can certainly tell a difference when I go to a lesser brand or even another premium brand like Ray-Ban. Everything appears distorted like the lenses are warped. Also, knowing that I paid so much for them, I tend to take better care of them and hang on to them longer. My…

I would find a different gym personally. I don't trust giving that information to anyone. There have been to many retail breaches lately. Also, like others, I have had this done to me before when I tried to cancel. I cancelled according to their policy by sending a letter certified mail and delivering it in person. The…

I think zentha1384 hit it. I went and checked my settings. My goal was set to maintain my weight with no exercise. My goal was set to 247 and I am currently at 239 so that explains quite a bit. My new calorie goal is 1510 per day which seems more in line with what I have experienced.

So just for clarification, The day after Thanksgiving, I weighed in at 270 pounds. Between that date and when I first started using the app on Jan 5th, I dropped down to 246. My height is 5'10" and I do have a desk job. I try to work out at the gym at least every other day and sometimes more often. I usually do 35 minutes…

I typically will eat out so I base my calories on whatever is reported in the mfp app. I drink no soda's what so ever. I very rarely drink tea and when I do, it is sweetened with sweet & low. I usually drink about 10-20 cups of water per day. I also set my diary to public so feel free to analyze. Thanks.
