  • I eat between 1600-2000 a day, usually zig-zagging. I believe in the eat more to weigh less philosophy, and I've lose 50 lbs doing it so far! I refuse to support or even comment on diaries that eat 1200 or less. Friend me if you want!! :OD
  • Try this recipe. I make this all the time, we love it! http://carrotsncake.com/2010/07/so-cheesy.html Sweet potatoes rock!
  • And remember, anytime the scale seems to spike up unexpectedly, you would have had to consume 3,500 calories more then your body burned that day to have gained 1 pound. So unless you consumed 7,000 extra calories, you should be just fine.
  • I get one tuna roll (6 peices) for 184 calories and one yellowtail roll (6 pieces) for 216 calories. I'll also get a house salad with the ginger dressing. Total calories for the meal is 495 calores. Had it last night, in fact! It feels like a real treat, and its under 500 calories, filling and very low on sodium! I also…
  • You could get a bag, portion some out and eat it while walking around the carnival. Before you go back into your apartment, throw the rest away. If you're honestly trying to avoid it all together, I agree with one previous commenter. Look at the people eating the junk food instead. I can usually make that work for myself!…
  • I typically steam. This sounds so much tastier! Bump to try later!
  • I'm tired of living life on the sidelines. Its cliche, but for a reason. Also, I've spent my entire life looking around every room I enter confirm if I'm the fattest one. I'd like to walk into rooms with the confidence of one that doesn't need to compare herself to others to decide where she 'ranks.' There are actually a…
  • My fiance and I are losing weight together. Its hard work! If I got to a healthy weight and started gaining again, I would EXPECT him to say something! I don't want to fall back into a lazy pattern that puts me right back where I started! But, our relationship is a very candid one and this may not work for everyone! It…
  • I have an alarm that goes off every 5 minutes on my work computer. When it goes off, I take a sip and reset it. I get 6 cups in by 3:30 M-F! The weekends...still haven't figured it out!
  • Chicks grow up to make tasty dinners!
  • Listen to Dan Savage. He has a free podcast on Itunes, and he's wonderful! He talks about how to do it successfully and he has thousands of followers who do have success with it. And if his callers aren't having success with it, he helps them figure out why. Not the person to listen to if you don't have an open mind,…
  • i met a couple of crazies! But then I met the man I'm going to marry next October!! He is amazing and we would NEVER have met if we weren't both doing the internet dating thing at the time! If you're going to try it out, think of the bad dates as a funny story to tell on posts like these later. They get you through until…
  • It sounds like a symptom of a bigger problem. You need to visit your doctor!! Take care!!
  • I second the banana idea. I make chocolate covered frozen bananas in big batches and freeze them. The banana tastes very much like ice cream when frozen, and it actually has nutritional value! So if one leads to two...not so bad!! Good luck!!
  • Read this post: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/693455-hey-fat-girl?hl=hey+fat+girl#posts-10154048 Don't let ANYTHING stop you!
  • I have luck with carbs and protien. Also, keep in mind your body may be sending you a signal. Maybe today you should go with it, and let yourself eat a bit more calories today without guilt. As long as this doesnt happen every day it shouldn't hurt your long term goals.
  • No matter how fit I get I still have this issue on occasion. i just had it yesterday, in fact. For me, it's a low blood sugar issue, I've had it my whole life. I've found that if I plan what I eat before my workout, I have a better chance at making it through. I usually have a banana 45-30 minutes before a workout. I…
  • These photos say it all! You're doing great! It took me 30 pounds to notice a difference in how my clothes fit...you're very lucky! I started around where you started, and I can assure you that you will continue to feel better and better as you lose more! Keep up the excellent work!! :OD
  • i never intended to cut out the demon drink. I love wine, and miss it terribly! But now that I'm eating healthier, I notice that I bloat uncomfortably for 3-4 days after drinking. I cut it out while I'm still trying to lose weight. Once I hit maintenance mode, I expect I'll enjoy my wine on occasion. But for now? Zero…
  • I find that motivation comes from my short term goals. I keep several short term goals that I am personally excited about. If I reach them, or if I lose interest in them, I find new ones. I'm constantly seeking out new goals to replace or add to my list. Every time in the past that I have failed, its because my short term…
  • Born/raised in CT but live in LI currently, near the Riverhead area!! :OD
  • I've got a killer receipe for onion soup, low sodium, low calorie and very filling, and I'd be happy to share if you want it! See my lunch diary for today if you want specific nutritional breakdown. One batch makes 4 very substantial servings, I just have to figure out Friday's lunch, and that's usually leftovers anyways!…
  • Bump cause I'm at work!
  • In a time in my life where I was constantly comparing myself to other people, never feeling good enough, my best friend at the time said, "Figure out what YOUR style is, and perfect THAT." Revolutionized how I thought about myself, and still impacts me to this day!
  • I don't look TOO bad!
  • If you have iTunes, check out the podcast, "Fat 2 Fit Radio." They're all free to download from season 2 on. This podcast revolutionized how I think about diet, lifestyle and exercise. I follow their philosophy and, almost 7 months in I cannot see myself ever not living the rest of my life this way. I have all the…
  • I deal with my chocolate cravings in one of two ways, and yes I do this regularly! 1. I keep a batch of chocolate covered bananas in my freezer for a chocolate 'ice cream' like treat, the chocolate coating the banana helps with the chocolate craving and frozen banana tastes like ice cream...but with nutritional value! 2. I…
  • I don't know what I'd do in your situation. But I can second this, a solid piece of advice!
  • I guess I'm with the majority here. I'm worried about the saggy skin and re-gaining the weight once I lose it. I'm also not on a 'diet' but changed my lifestyle including what I eat and my activity level, so I'm working hard to not create that reality. But I can already see signs of the saggy skin. Thats what I get for…
