Go for it, and it's additionally cheaper and more convenient. All you have to do is keep an eye on the salt content and how that may affect weight fluctuations day-to-day. If you're happy, IIFYM and keep you full and satiated, then by all means :)

I have my goals set to Sedentary and add exercise in when required since I don't do loads, so this. I don't clean as vigorously as this, nor do I do it often, but I also break out a sweat and feel it a little while later from scrubbing one thing or another- usually a big clean when I'm having people round at home. But I…

Ooh I forgot pastry. I love all pastry.. pies.. tarts.. pasties.. pork pies :'( I try to limit those foods now though

Pasta- am a total carboholic and I would have like a triple serving size. I am restrained nowadays, but still... Tortilla wraps- supposedly a lighter option to bread.. or maybe not.. White sauce/flour - A base for a lots of recipes- mac and cheese included and that's without the actual cheese! White sauce has loooads of…

-Your muscles absorb water like a sponge if you've been working out. Give yourself a couple of off days. -Weight everything you eat, I was shocked when I started weighing everything. -Plan in advance if possible and make small alterations if necessary. It's less daunting if some things are planned out rather than getting…

Log every chocolate and move on. You don't need to kill yourself at the gym everyday, in fact having a day off is better for your body so you can heal. There is no such thing as 'clean eating' and you can eat everything you want to as long as it fits into your daily goal on MFP. Don't be angry with yourself, we all mess…

This might sound harsh.. but no amount of comment posts of "you can do it!" is going to motivate you. You need to educate yourself. Research about the importance of changing your diet and use your brother's wedding as the spark. Surround yourself with positive people on MFP- the key thing is that you're here. It's ok to…

If I were you, I'd invest in a good Chinese cookbook. Gok Wan is very good and Ching He-Huang (pro-actively make their food more nutritional), Ken Hom if you want to go a little more old school :)

I would like to volunteer to mentor a couple of new members. I am 21 and a university student so I know a bit about working to budget, but I also know that if I want something, then I work it in every now and then. A total carb-oholic and carnivore. Meat is lower in calories and keeps me fuller so the carnivore is the side…

Why do you want to lose so much...? You're marrying the man of your dreams. Be you. I don't want to be disheartening, but maybe stick to smaller goals to like a stone at a time. This is a long, mental, emotional, and downright breakdown process sometimes. Want to lose weight for your health and starting your marriage at…

How about a wrap, burrito style? Wholegrain wraps are high in carbs but have a additional nutrition benefits. Keep the foil wrapped tightly, probably safe if you guys are driving and cram chicken salad in there. Voila! :-)

Sweet items- of course then it goes the other way and like savoury food probably more than I should haha. Pretty much turn down most desserts unless I fancy one after a long time and then won't for a while.

I think prevention is better than cure in this situation. Do some real research on fizzy drinks, what they contain, their effects, long-term impact on your body etc and try to educate yourself away from the temptation. Once you know the information, I think you'll be less inclined to opt for the, and try some alternatives…

I agree with the others about peanut butter. It's pretty rich so lasts longer and you appreciate it too. Have a large cup of tea or coffee and the heat from the liquid will help fill you up too. If you're winding down for the night maybe herbal tea? Beef jerky is also a great alternative.. it's pure protein and the…

I find it's good to have either plenty of low-cal food like popcorn, or a little of indulgence so you're satiated, like peanut butter or dark chocolate :)

Same for me, last 10lbs!

You can change your settings for the TDEE method, or go for % deficit and add exercise additionally (what I do). I think it depends on what kind of job you have and the hours you have. I have a zero-hours contract so my work are not obliged to give me hours if there are none available. Sometimes I'll work Monday and…

I'm in UK and been on Cerazette for over a year. I haven't found any problems with losing weight on it. Friends of mine have struggled with the injection though. I'm considering changing my current pill to another and doctor told me I would almost certainly gain weight if I chose injection.

It happens for every guy and every girl. Don't measure yourself against what anyone else is doing. It's your journey, not your journey +1. As long as you're doing what's right for your body, and you're losing weight at the optimum rate for your body, it doesn't matter.

I've come to the same conclusion as everyone else; 1) not meeting suggested sleep 2) amount of carbs. Maybe on those days (and some on the day before if it's a particularly high-impact workout) up your calories some more. You'll feel tons better! Good luck :)

Healthy yes, happily no.

Personally I don't mind diet food if I genuinely LIKE it. I now and then might have a WW meal because I genuinely quite like it, but they're not my sole intake and don't buy them for their calories.

+1 I limit my alcohol intake because I'd rather eat my calories than drink them. I also enjoy wine so much more now because I'm more inclined it savour it. I limit wine to probably once a week now, if that, and with food. Make sure you log it!

Obviously there are times when your stomach growls that you can't get to food. If I have access to food I always try to stave it off with water. If I'm in bed and it's late at night then I'll try and leave it for 30mins to an hour but after that I give in and eat. Usually yoghurt, fruit or walnuts.
