MFP puts me at 1,210 but I tend to stick around 1,400 or so. If I want more, I'll exercise. Done me no wrong so far. *touch wood!*

I think it depends where you go in the UK. My local Hungry Horse had a MASSIVE burrito that my boyfriend ordered. When it turned up our jaws dropped. It wasn't the only massive thing on the menu either! Agreed. The only places that openly encourage it to an extent, are pizza places. I don't order and dump half my food, but…

This is great advice, I also follow the currency theory and the 'out of sight out of mind'. I've never gorged on chocolate but found that the chocolate that I did have was more frequent when I kept it on my desk. Now I keep it in my bottom drawer- ow bad it is that the effort to bend down and open the drawer puts me off…

Have a look through the MFP database. There are tons of entries- never know what you'll find to inspire you.

Might also help to incorporate fruit and vegetables, I didn't see that many in your diary

A couple of friends I hadn't seen for a couple months said they couldn't put their finger on it but I had a "sparkle" about me, then just as we were saying goodbye and hugged, one of them screeched an almighty OMG!!! Haha- think everyone in a 5mile radius turned and stared!

BUMP- that recipe sounds awesome, consider it stolen ;)

I'm free for adds :) I started at 227lbs and wanted to lose 47lbs. I'm currently at 208lbs so nearly halfway and another 28lbs to go :) am so happy with my weight loss so far!

Whatever is cheapest at the time, i.e deli of the day, and then work it into my day. It's less impulse- if I want it, I'll plan it and factor it in :)

I read it was like "seriously?" then saw it coming before scrolling down because I saw who it was lol. You're not on my friends list, but we all know Rigger haha

There are very different opinions towards tipping in the UK and the USA. In the USA, it's an expectation- some see as a social obligation. In the UK, tips are only given for very good service, but are no means an obligation. When I done some waitressing, I would serve food with a smile, be as quick as I could, ensure…

Not sure where the 600cal saving comes from...

I always plan my days- I'm already up to Thursday but am staying with my parents for a few days after that so will be logging-as-I-go kind of thing. But if I'm cooking for myself, usually I have a list of meals I want to try or fancy so squish everything in to get maximum food for my calories- but if I'm hungry I'll add…

Sorry if someone has already asked this and it's been answered, but can you freeze this???

Seeing people write "I eat xyz, work out loads, and I'm not losing" or "I need motivation". Simply googling answers both these problems rather than seeing the same threads again and again :/

This is exactly the kind of staff we all want in a gym :) knowledgeable, helpful etc nice to know you had a good experience :)

I'm nearly 21 :) open to adds. I'm a pretty optimistic, supportive member.

-Investigate the cheapest internet package- you only need 10-15mins a day. -Quick add calories if you're unsure and amend later on, working from a diary. Doesn't have to be concrete form, maybe a simple list. Ticking off your water for the day. Inputting your exercise to add later on. -A family friend wanted to count…

Try making your own muffins or breakfast bars. There's loads of recipes on food websites and you can change it up week to week. Add seeds and protein powder for a more balanced bar :) hope this helps.

I go to bed late so try to have all my meals later. Snack about 9:30am-10:30am is probably a piece of fruit or a yoghurt. Breakfast is a couple of hours later and either Greek yoghurt and honey or homemade breakfast muffins. The muffins have everything in them, apple, banana, walnuts, seeds, blueberries.. and cut it down…

Sorry but I agree with this.

I have a massive store-cupboard of cans like chickpeas and have ice cream in the freezer, but the staples I buy week in, week out: Mushrooms Low-Fat Greek Yoghurt Peppers Carrots Bananas Spinach Goat's Cheese Smoked Salmon Walnuts Turkey mince Eggs Whole chicken Pork joint (when on offer) Rice Cakes Peanut Butter (a jar…

I eat out and socialise a lot but it's usually in the local Wetherspoons because it's good value for money. They have all the calories listed next to each item so you know what you're eating and even have a designated 500cal section. I tend to order what I would have normally ordered but with changes, so instead of a…
