Buying skinny jeans the end of June. Didn't wear them til yesterday. Skinny jeans aren't supposed to be baggy.

my goal is exactly 100 from now -- please feel free to add me, anyone! I am here every day.

I have sympathy for the plight of women, as am one. I have experienced the plight of hormone fluctuations and imbalances for a couple of years, and it makes it extremely difficult to lose weight. No matter what some posters here say, it's not always calories in vs calories out. It's way more complicated than that for some.…

Gorgeous. Well done. Congratulations on all you have achieved, and thank you for sharing.

I would eat pancakes and sausage on a stick all day errday. So good. The biscuits aren't bad either. Dammit. Now I have to go to the store tonight and it's all your fault. [/quote] Sorry, send me the bill.

Calories in vs Calories out doesn't take into consideration hormone fluctuations (peri-menopause), water bloating, TOM etc. I did two months of strict control, measured and weighed everything -- fitbit tracked activity, etc. I ran a -8000 cal deficit every week. According to that math I should have lost 2lbs/week on…

Hi, I'm in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Originally from Nova Scotia. I've weighed as much as 240, and as low as 180 over the last 20 years. The low was about 12 years ago, and was from low-carb. I'm at 229 right now, and am fed up. Two months ago I started on MFP, counting calories. I was always taught it was basic math -- eat…

After two months of no progress using calories in/out, tracking with fitbit and not going above 1600 cals/day -- I have gone to low carb. I am at 50/day, and will continue with it. I am in peri-menopause (and could be for 10 years, ugh) -- and I suspect my body has changed how well it processes carbs. I'm giving it a full…

Atlanta. Had to go there 5 times in one year for work. Work booked me to stay at a 'Quality Inn' that had roaches in the foyer, elevator, and bathrooms. Maids were stealing stuff from staff, and my window looked out at a solid concrete wall. Ugh. Never ever ever again.

Calgary, AB by way of Halifax. ;-)

I'm here to lose 100 as well. But my first goal is to get to 180. Friend me if you like, I keep my diary open for friends.

Hon, you're gonna have to get away from the notion that you are depriving yourself - crying over bread? Seriously? That's a sure way to set yourself up to fail. Work bread into your daily plan. Or you will sabotage yourself, and the pattern will start all over again. "modified meatloaf' is just regular meatloaf to me. Only…

Hi everyone, thanks for the invite! I am Dawn -- 44 this year. Married 21 years, two boys, 20 and 15. I work as a VP Marketing for a software company. Desk jobs for the last 20 years, coupled with being married to a 6' non-stop eating machine (I'm an adaptive personality) have combined to get me to 230lbs. Not being a…

I'm all up for re-opening this thread. peri is what has kicked my *kitten* back here -- i've always been big, but damn, where did this muffin top come from!?! OY and the bloating and the irregular periods.... between the dry skin and the raging, I don't know who I am anymore. Please feel free to add me and we can…
