42lbs down -- NSV a thigh gap! 230 to 194 so far, with ~ 40 to go 5'4"
-
That's excellent news, will step up the process a little more -- hopefully my genetics aren't too lazy... ;-)
-
That's awesome! Did your arms firm up when you lost the weight? I'm down 38lbs with 50 to go, and I find even with weight training my arms are batwings. :-/

This. I am an unconscious eater, particularly when I am watching TV or reading. Result, I read less and don't watch TV as much on the weekend. Or I do more exercise to counter balance.

I can always use some -- lost 45lbs, going to lose 30 more this year.

Starting weight: 234 Goal weight: 134 Current weight: 186 Total weight lost (in 2017): 0 This week's successes: Cooked chicken for lunches, packed in baggies with gram sizes listed This week's challenges: sore hip from sitting too much over holidays - back to gym today!

Over the holidays I was randomly cited not once but twice by people in real life and on a FB group as a source of inspiration and motivation. Completely unexpected, and I am happy I have that effect!

I confess I am mostly getting fit and losing the weight so people will be jealous of me. Hehehe, my evil plan is already working.....
-
That's fantastic! You look amazing, love your after photo in your gym gear. Definitely motivational! I was on a similar path -- but my results are much much slower, less than half of yours. Just coming off a two month plateau, and hoping to finish the job in 2017.

Here is my progress pic. Sept 2015 to Oct 2016. Still so far to go....

crap. I am sitting here in my size 14s that are tight and was feeling good about it. Your fat dreams are my reality right now. I hope to have those dreams soon.

Am 47 and in the same boat. Have lost 43 lbs this year, with 50 more to go. Just started HRT to fight the night sweats and hot flashes. Had a hysterectomy two years ago, they left me with one ovary which seems to have shriveled up and died. I am afraid that HRT will slow my weight loss. I hope not. I have a personal…

Feel free to add me. I'm down 27lbs this year, gone from a 2XL to a L, and can now wear rings I haven't worn in 15 years. I have a trainer I see 2-3 times/week, and I have committed a minimum of a year to this, but hope to make it forever. ;-)
-
I am in, but I realize 50lbs is way too much for me by Sept 1. I have lost 17lbs in 14 weeks, so given that, I estimate being down 28lbs by Sept 1. I hope for more, but that's what I expect. Feel free to send me a Friend request! SW: 227lbs CW: 210lbs GW: 182lbs

Our family dream vacation is a LOTR tour of New Zealand. Personally mine is a castle tour through Germany and Rhineland. We can see the Canadian Rockies from our back deck, so maybe we should sign up for house swap. ;-)

I weigh daily. I log when I've lost. Keeps things consistent. It's annoying when I've hit a plateau, but nice when it's going down again.

Have you figured out your BMR and TDEE? ...."and I am going to the gym 3 times a weeks for 45 minutes doing cardio, followed by a 30 minute swim of continuous lengths. " This tells me you are an athlete to some degree. It's taboo to mention it around here where it's always calories calories in vs out, but maybe you're not…

Very similar story here, only rather than binging I simply mirrored my skinny husband's eating habits for 20 years. My metabolism is not his metabolism. 240 at my heaviest. 46 and 5'4" . Now I go to the gym 5 days/week, have a personal trainer for weight training, and have adjusted my eating to <1500/day and not eating my…

I think it's waaaaay too early to worry about slight discrepancies. When you are nearing your goal you can take another look at it.
-
Definitely on that track. Send me a friend request, and hopefully we can help each other.

Me too, been on here for a while, just getting re-started. 100 is my magic number. Feel free to add!
-
100 is the perfect amount for me to lose. I'm done recovering from surgery, so I'll join in!

Fellow Canuck, 44 here. Lost 15 in and 20lbs since July. Getting there, slowly but surely! Overweight and well paid, does that count? ;-)
