  • I agree that you should start with small changes. Pick one habit to work on and break it up into attainable ble goals. Be sure to reward yourself for successes, but don't let missteps stop you. No one is perfect 100% of the time so don't dwell on those. You can do this! Please keep us posted on your progress

  • Homemade always beats prepackaged. You control the ingredients and the portions. I usually stick with leftovers along with salad or soup ( also homemade). As far as cost is concerned, bringing your lunch is the way to go. If you don't have leftovers, what about sandwich and/or salad? I agree Egg whites and tuna fish have…

  • Awesome snack ideas! Thank you. I'm a grazer so these are perfect?
  • Unfortunately grams is a measure of mass and cup is volume, so it gets a bit tricky. You have to know how dense the ingredient is to convert it. t depends what you have in the cup. A cup is a measure of volume, but a gram is a measure of mass. It would be best to search by each ingredient. For example you can search "1 cup…
  • We've done Caesar salad night with grilled chicken and freshly shaved Parmesan cheese. Letting them shave or grate the cheese is a big hit. Just put all the different fixings on the table and let them build their own. Whole wheat garlic bread would be a nice side. Have you done chicken tacos? I think this recipe has made…
  • I LOVE all these websites. ???????????????????? Thank you for sharing!
  • Amen sister!
  • They say it takes time to develop a habit. I find that when I make a plan for work outs and food it helps. Plan one day. You can do anything for one day. After that do 3 days, a week etc. your body will adjust to liking the healthy food and your cravings for other foods will diminish. There are several apps for…
  • This may not be the popular answer, but I just celebrated my 25th anniversary. So I am claiming sage wisdom. Forgive her and forget the incident. She is going to be in your life a very long time. He will become your family. Don't let this be a constant source of irritation in your marriage. My MIL keeps a better house than…
  • Laughing cow lite cheese wedges are great for in the room, especially on an apple. If I snack on that before a late dinner i eat less. Good luck.
  • Hi Sara! Wow. You travel a lot. For your home meals you can split fresh meat packages into manageable portions and freeze the rest. I add marinade prior to freezing so its good to go. Same for cooked meals, freeze some. Squash keeps a long time: spaghetti squash is one I like to cook. Hope this helps Happy trails!
  • Please don't be discouraged. Please also promise yourself you won't use negative words to describe you!! Being on this site, working towards a goal is positive. Sodium: awful for me. I pack on water pounds Insanity: looks like it will be much tougher on your knees and other joints than intense yoga. Can you go for walks or…

  • Hi! I need some help! I am 54, and haven't worked out much for for about 3 years now. Prior to that I was running 5Ks (albeit slowly, but I wasn't last). Still even then I was putting on a little weight. Thank you menopause and working from home (working virtually means you done get up and walk to someone's office, you…
  • Thank you both! Saruk2sf the table is awesome. Considering g protein/calorie for the protein source is an awesome idea.

  • When I want soda (pop) I drink seltzer water with a slice of lemon or lime. Seltzer is different from club soda in that it is carbonated water with salt. Give it a try with lots of ice. It is refreshing and feels like a treat. Cmeirun also had great ideas. Packing your lunch is great, as in allowing the occasional treat.…
