Thank you. I will show her the website and warn her. Hopefully she'll just take the harder way (yet proven to be both healthy and to work) by just watching what she eats and working out. You've all been very helpful.

Personally, i've lost 30lbs just exercising and eating better and that has worked just fine for me. To each their own I guess.

Yeah i know. That's what i told her but since she doesn't seem to care about the whole "fitness and nutrition are better than pills because you build lifelong habits that allow you to stay healthy", I figured i'd ask about the pill and see if anyone has tried it and what they found. I just want her to be informed. I've…

I've done 13 weeks so far and I've lost 18 lbs. I do exercise 1-2 a week for about an hour (swimming or dancing usually)but I skipped a few weeks during exams. I haven't changed my eating habits a lot (I was already eating relatively healthy) just my portions. I still have the occasional drink and I still eat the…

That's amazing! Hey, you look AMAZING! You should be very proud of yourself. Takes a lot of dedication to do what you did :)

I'm 5`9 and I would like to be 160 (to be healthy again) and then once I reach that goal, my new goal (and final goal) will be 145 lbs.

That's very true

It's been a very long time since I've done weight training. I feel like all I would do is hurt myself now given the fact that I've forgotten the proper techniques. I don't live near a gym but my university does have one. I guess I could always see if I can find someone to give me tips during the summer on weight training.

I started swimming once a week for about 60 minutes. I know it's not much but it's a start. I also started going skating once every two weeks and have been trying out salsa and bachata once a week (when labs and midterms allow it). During the summer, I'll be doing lots of cardio though. My schedule right now doesn't allow…

Thank you Quietsmile. And it's okay. Some people are more dedicated than others and I admire them. I just plan on taking small steps to achieve the bigger goal over time because I'm aware that all my motivation goes into my studies at the moment. All I want to do is dedicate myself to this small-scale plan (1200 cal) and…

Greenrun99 I do know that I need to change certain things but I already eat healthy (greens, fruits, nuts, meat, low-fat, low-salt, low-cholesterol products). What I meant by still being able to drink here and there and eat junk food here and there is that I want to be realistic. As a student who hangs out with other…

Thanks Quietsmile And I'll check out that post (sexypants as well)

Hi Greenrun, What do you mean the muscle mass will be gone? And I don't know how much is muscle and I've no clue how to find that out. I do know that I have fat and I want to lose it.

It was myfitnesspal that suggested 1200 cal. What would you suggest quietsmile? And why is it bad to go at 1200 cal? Thanks
