Dizziness is a really common side effect of Citalopram, even at lower doses, but tends not to last for long. How long have you been taking them for? I took 20mg and found that after a couple of weeks, everything settled down. It's not unusual to be nauseous and unsteady on your feet for a fortnight while your body gets…

QFT. Using a food scale regularly (read: daily) doesn't necessarily = an eating disorder. My portion sizes (especially with things like cereal and potatoes) were WAY off. There's definitely a huge difference between being obsessive and having a better idea of your consumption.

All humans can be trained. Teaching a child is very much like training a puppy. Men might not be dogs, but they're just as trainable (although I disagree with the derogatory way it was said in the first place).

My other half does all those things for me... but she's a woman.

Never seen it!

If you don't drink enough, your body will retain water in order to hydrate itself. It won't want to let it go. It's the water retention that means you won't get a loss on the scales. Drink more water, your body will let the water go and you won't have any 'water weight'.

I pulled my shoulder at work the other day so I rested up for two days (just went for a walk instead of my usual exercise routine) and did my usual routine today but took out some of the intensity. I'm not in pain, so I'd recommend this option!

If you don't like fruit, you don't have to eat it; just make sure you're getting the right mix of vitamins from vegetables instead. Blending into juices and smoothies is a great way of getting more fruit, though, especially since it tastes so different once you've mixed a few different things together. You could also try…

I watched a programme on TV the other week that tested the benefits of milk after exercise and it was fairly conclusive; sportspeople that drink milk after their training rather than regular water, juice or sport drinks felt less soreness for less time afterwards. Try it!

My food diary is open if you'd like to read it! Sometimes I make healthy choices, sometimes not but I'm not ashamed of any of them.
-
I'd just say don't worry, you'll get better at this.
-
Well done you! You can see a huge difference straight away, kudos.
-
Thank you for this - it's about time people realised they can have a balanced diet (no carb-cutting) and be fit!

Mine is the absolute top end of 'normal' BMI, just to get me into the healthy range. When I get there, I'll see if I need to lose more to be fitter or if I'm happy as I am.

I have a Kindle, but just a regular one with a keypad. It's awesome. I used to read a lot anyway but now I find it easier to read even more and so many books are now out of copyright and free to download. Plus there's the Kindle daily deal where amazon put a heavy reduction on a different book each day. I couldn't…

Three lip piercings (snakebites and centre) and I like them a lot. I don't look like 'me' without them.

^ This, this and THIS. I haven't seen any negativity here, simply people disagreeing with the sentiment. In fact, I think it's negative to assume women hate their bodies just because they haven't got photos of themselves prancing around in a sports bra posted on the Internet.
-
I really don't understand the assumption that people who choose to put their face as their profile photo have issues with their bodies. Mine is of my face because it's perfectly normal to show your face on a profile photo! Only on MFP would it be considered the norm for your primary photo to be of your bulging biceps,…

I'm a complete Final Fantasy geek. :D

The Eye, The Ring and The Grudge... but only the Japanese originals. I still can't make it the whole way through The Eye, holy crap it's scary. Hostel, Saw and Candyman are pretty good for gore and both Mirrors and The Unborn freak me the hell out.

How old were you when you got engaged? 23 How long had you been together before getting engaged? 5 months How old were you when you got married? 25 Are you still together (if so, for how long)? Yes, together for 3 years (married for 6 months)

Not everyone! I want to get pregnant and since I need IUI/IVF, it's expensive and I need to give my body the best shot it can have!

Gmail, without a doubt.

I have a Senseo machine so I tend to have a 2-cup pod (to make a mug) with a splash of semi-skimmed milk. Lovely.

I've seen some really good results with the 30 Day Shred, not done it myself yet but it seems pretty unanimous that it makes a huge difference in a month.

I'm a G cup and 190lb. I've always been pretty big up top and I'm hoping they'll shrink at least a little as the weight comes off but they're usually the last thing to shrink on me, unfortunately! I wear a regular bra with a sports bra over the top and I find most activies I do to be just fine.

That's tough, have you spoken to her about it? It can be really difficult to stay motivated when you feel as though you have to hide your achievements - and they ARE achievements, so well done on your weight loss so far. My wife is also a member here and is working as hard as I am to become healthier, and it's so much…

I track absolutely everything that enters my mouth... if I don't, I'm only cheating myself! I don't care what my friends think of me if I have a blow-out, I'm only accountable to myself.

I want to have IUI to have a baby and it costs £1,500 a go so I need to give my body the best chance of getting pregnant that it can have.
