  • You can have some of mine, I've lost 35lb and dropped precisely NO cup sizes. Two back sizes, but no cup sizes. Big boobs are shoulder pain and backache, no fun at all!
  • Frozen yoghurt. I love ice cream so switching to fro yo still gives me a treat but with way less sugar.
  • I love my coffee but I've managed to cut down to just one cup in the morning. I use semi-skimmed milk rather than creamer and I've never taken sugar so I've never had to worry about that. At around 20 cals a cup, the calories aren't the reason I cut down - I was having trouble sleeping and now I've found I sleep so much…
  • People who think spelling matters, can spell. People who think spelling doesn't matter, usually can't. Does it matter? It sure as hell does. If we all went around spelling 'dog' as 'freezer' or 'car' as 'supermarket', nobody would know what the hell anybody was talking about. 'Lose' and 'loose' are two completely different…
  • I definitely join the people recommending Fitbit. I love mine. I was pretty active before with my job and walking everywhere anyway so I bought one to track what I do accurately as well as to push myself to do more.
  • Blimey.
  • To get pregnant. No other reason has ever stuck so this is good motivation for me.
  • I don't understand this sort of trolling... it seems pretty pointless.
  • Try to find a Whole Foods; it was the highlight of my trip to NYC this year. (Unhelpful in terms of brands, but have an awesome time!)
  • I saw an interesting one last night on alternate day fasting. Not sure of its availability outside the UK. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01lxyzc/Horizon_20122013_Eat_Fast_and_Live_Longer/
  • I work in retail and a customer once made comments about my weight, then told me it should be ok because I 'should be able to put up with abuse from customers'. At the time, I was speechless and it really hurt me. Now, I understand that he was a middle-aged man with a middle-aged spread and nothing better to do with his…
  • I'd rather be indoors because I don't want my flabby bits flabbing around in public, thanks very much.
  • It motivates me to work out a date where I'll be at my goal weight. If I lose 1lb a week, it'll be Jan 1st. If I lose 2lb a week, it'll be Nov 1st or whatever. Time flies so quickly that it can sometimes be a massive motivator that in no time at all, I'll be where I want to be. If it helps, you can split your weight loss…
  • Great work! I did the same this week; I've been wearing pants two dress sizes too big for me without even really noticing.
  • I order whatever I want to eat when I eat out. I don't do it often, so I don't worry about the calories. I log as accurately as I can when I get home and if I'm over, I work harder the next day.
  • I met my wife three and a half years ago on Okcupid. It was free and relatively creep-free as well. We're now married and planning a baby so it worked for us. Meeting people online is no different and no more risky than dating anywhere else. A guy in a club is just as likely to be a creep than a guy online.
  • If you're doing that much exercise, you need to eat more. Don't be afraid that eating more = slower or no weight loss. It doesn't. Think about it - your muscles are working overtime while you exercise but you're not feeding them anything to fuel them. (Also, I 1lb loss one week then nothing the next week is nothing to…
  • My exercise bike usually posts around half the calories of my HRM too; I tend to think this is a combination of a) the HRM overestimating a bit; and b) the exercise bike has no way of knowing how hard I'm actually working. It doesn't know how fit I am, how heavy I am, how much my heart is DYING pushing those pedals around…
  • I have PCOS and was diagnosed when I was 19 (I'm 26 now) but have never taken any medication for it either.

  • Feel free to add me, that goes for anybody else as well! I'm in Yorkshire.
  • Thanks! It sounds like I'm about right (I'm averaging a 3000 burn, and eating about 2000-2400) so I'm hoping for a decent loss this week.
  • My goal is high from my adjustments from Fitbit. I lift boxes (of a reasonable weight), climb ladders and walk all day. I take a half hour for lunch, so I spend around 9 hours working and don't sit down. I did 9,500 steps at work alone today on a busy Saturday. I then do a walk after work that lasts around an hour, every…
  • I love a drink every now and again but I'm trying to be alcohol-free for the calorie aspect right now. My wife doesn't drink at all, period.
  • As others have said, try splitting it up and thinking in terms of small goals rather than your end result aim. You'll get there! :)
  • For me, it's less immediate than a phone call. If I get a text, I can choose to look at it or I can leave it for when I have more time. I can choose to reply when I like, or not at all. Phone calls are invasive, immediate and require attention. Text messages can lounge around for hours if I'm busy. I enjoy keeping in touch…
  • If your local area is full of chavs and your local supermarket is Asda, then it stands to reason that Asda will be full of chavs where you live. That's like me saying Tesco is full of schoolchildren because my local Tesco is near a school. My local Asda isn't full of chavs. You might want to move to a nicer area rather…
  • It's really not an equivalent. Asda existed before Walmart bought the chain, and hasn't really changed much (IMO) since.
  • Yes, definitely, you look leaner across the back. Keep it up!
  • That was inappropriate, because customer service should always come first, so I agree on that score but as a store manager in retail, I cannot express how much I HATE customers that turn up five minutes before close and want to try things on. The store is open hours and hours, come at a reasonable time.
  • If you ever want someone to chat to, just drop me a message. Sometimes that can help as much as the medication does.
