My favourite band is Anberlin, and when I listen to them, I get an anberlingasm.

This is what I thought, too; we had an amazing home-made wedding that didn't cost the earth and left us in no debt so we'll be able to pay for IVF so we can have a baby this year.

I got married in August on a budget of around £4,000. My wife baked our two-tier wedding cake and our dresses (two brides means two dress expenses, unfortunately!) were only around £100 each. We chose a small venue to keep the whole thing small (25 guests) and the owner of the venue did our flowers for £250. We did most…

I'm in the UK, also with an open diary. I eat a mixture of cooking from scratch and some processed/pre-packaged!

Definitely! I couldn't keep up with this healthy eating lark if I didn't eat 'normal' food. I enjoy a salad with my fries, fruit with my sandwich for lunch... as with everything, it's about moderation and treating yourself where you can.

This is definitely my opinion, too. I don't understand how a calorie can be just a calorie, no matter what form it comes in. The different make-up of foods mean your body will use them in different ways. This is why I'd rather snack on a 100-cal banana or a 70-cal apple than, say, a small packet of crisps for the same.

It's pretty much what a chocolate cheesecake is made from, right?

Minimise carbohydrates in your diet (more sustainable than cutting them out entirely) and try to stick to wholegrain foods - avoid white bread, white rice, white pasta. Try to add more protein because your body will burn that better - it just turns carbs straight into sugar, which then make fat (I'm sure someone will…

Each supermarket has its own plus points for me. Asda make me spend more with their 'ONLY £1!' offers because it's so easy to add things to your trolley thinking that they're only a quid each and end up spending thirty quid you didn't need to. Tesco is my local (a five-minute walk) so it's convenient on an evening or on…

The day my cinema provides affordable snacks, I'll stop taking my own refreshments. Popcorn costs around a penny to make and is sold for a fiver... daylight robbery.
-
You usually buy snacks from a UK cinema? You must earn more money than I do, then! Even a small popcorn seems to break the bank these days. I like to take something from home and usually go for a treat rather than fruit, since I don't go every week. If you go for a lower-calorie option (bag of crisps under 100 cals like…

For me, it's the stupidity and sheer nosiness of a lot of the questions, and horrible judgement statements that come from people's mouths. I wouldn't dream of walking up to a complete stranger to tell them their hairstyle makes them look ugly, yet I've had numerous complete strangers tell me that of my facial piercings.

My partner and I plan to use cloth diapers/nappies when we have a baby, my personal opinion is that it's way better than disposables.

Irregular periods can be caused by being overweight but it's also worth considering Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). I read somewhere that quite a large proportion of woman have this condition without even realising because they have regular periods (as you once did) but it's a condition that excacerbates weight gain…

My 'it' is usually my lip piercings... I'm not some sort of piercing freak, I only have three small labret studs in my lip but the amount of crap I hear about them is ridiculous. Don't ask me if they hurt Don't ask me how I managed to find a partner with something like that in my face Don't tell me you don't like them…

These look fantastic! I found a satay chicken recipe from Jamie Oliver that uses lettuce leaves as 'wraps', I think it's a great way to avoid carbs.

1. A customer in my store gave me a letter today that said how good he felt our service was, which he'd also sent to our head office. Good customers make it all worthwhile. 2. An evening walk with my lovely wife. 3. Knowing I have the day off tomorrow and no plans to worry about. :)

Exactly this. I don't take trips to the salon or tend to purchase new clothes and shoes. I do what I can, when I can but taking the moral high ground is easy when you have any sort of disposable income.

Awesome, I had peanut butter with breakfast. June 19: Celebrate National Dairy Month (great, I'm dairy intolerant...)

Time is man-made. Your body will be fine with you consuming slightly less calories one day and slightly more the next day to compensate. Just try not to swing too far either way!

I was diagnosed with PCOS 5-6 years ago and I agree on the less carbs, lose weight idea. The problem is, the hormones zooming around inside you crave exactly what you're not supposed to have! The more you can cut down on carbs (bread is my big problem) the better. PCOS is linked to insulin (as others have said) so thinking…

I love toasting marshmallows! It's a barbecue staple. After you've finished your MEAT, you need barbecued bananas and toasted marshmallows on skewers.

Hi, I'm in Ilkley!

What are your settings like? You can select how much you'd like to lose per week (up to 2lb) and that adjusts your calories. If you're set to lose 1/2lb a week then maybe your calories will seem quite high. I'm set to lose 2lb per week and my calories are set at 1380. I never feel as though I'm eating too much!

Let them criticise. If you're happy with the way you look, that's great! Just a thought, though; 1600 cals a day is not 'tons'. The recommendation for men these days is 2500. Even at 2000, you're undereating by around a day and a half every week. If you're comfortable with the amount you eat, it isn't really a problem but…

I even shut the DOGS away when I work out! I can't be doing with someone or something running around while I'm trying to focus.

Excellent, that's fantastic!

You can say this in regard to just about anything. Why should I have to pay a premium for my car insurance because other people drive like maniacs? Why should I have to pay a premium for my cider at the supermarket because teenagers are drinking too much White Lightning? Why should I have to pay so much tax because other…
