  • OMG mine too sometimes! lol One of the worst ones was a time I dreamed that my step brother died in my parent's house, and we had a huge family party and my dad and step mom were totally not upset that my stepbro had died, and he was still in his bedroom stinky and like swollen from being dead. And we had to lie to the…
  • before i got pregnant -- I basically NEVER had vivid dreams/dreams I remembered the next morning but they happen all the time now! Its crazy! Unfortunately I have had several messed up dreams like bad ones that scared me, but so far none about babies. Last night for example, I had a dream that I Cesar Milan moved in the…
  • I always assume it's total carbs, so I subtract my grams of fiber from that total number to get the net carbs. The only thing I've ever seen that puts actual NET carbs in the "Carbs" spot is anything Atkins. It's already calculated at net carbs so be careful with any of those Hope that helps! :)
  • Hello!!!! I just joined this group -- was diagnosed with PCOS this past June and have been TTC since Nov '12. I am on 1500mg/day Metformin with instructions of low-carb and exercise. I believe I have a mild form of PCOS induced by my being obese, so I am pretty sure once I get to a healthier weight I won't have PCOS…
  • I watched Hook last night in honor of him! Here's some more gifs I found :)
  • one of my favorite movie's of his ...and my fav scene in that movie! haha (patch adams) "At Your Cervix" *edited to fix image
  • THIS IS THE BEST THREAD EVER, I SERIOUSLY HAVEN'T BEEN THIS UPSET ABOUT A CELEBRITY DYING EVER    I grew up with Robin Williams, with Aladdin, Flubber, Hook, the list goes on Thank you for putting up this thread!
  • thanks everybody!! Those are great ideas! I was also looking at before/afters on google, and also trying to find some things on pinterest like the little glass jars with glass beads in them with "weight to lose" and "weight lost" I will also probably make myself a calendar with goals written out on it. Any other ideas are…
  • I think this might fix it! That's awesome!!!!
  • Oh! yeah....I am not always the best at logging everything but I do keep a tally in my head too so I try not to go over. If I don't have a way to scan something to put in my diary I am kinda lazy about it sometimes haha! ....I should be better about that tho lol But thank you!!!
  • Thanks, yes it is! And my doctor is the one who suggested the low-carb diet and I guess I could double check with her about the amount, but doing about 96g of carbs a day isn't THAT low carb. Something like Adkins is only like 25g a day, and I do not think I could ever go that low haha.
  • Thanks everyone!!! Seriously I've been starting at that between 215-220 for MONTHS -- It's such a nice feeling to get below that darn 215! Watch out 140's here I come
  • Thank you!!!
  • Thanks for the info everyone!! I'll definitely look into the more PCOS type diets out there as that might be more geared towards what I need to do. And no my doctor didn't give me any specific amount to go by, just said low-carb, so I will look into other options I am sure that I can probably adjust my carb intake to maybe…
  • Thanks so much! I'll definitely check into that!
  • *BUMP* Nobody???
  • I have been thinking about starting a weight loss journey blog and stuff as well -- I have started a blog or two before but just got bored with it after a while and nobody visiting lol..i just felt like I was talking to myself i guess hah. But I think I have more of a purpose now, so I think I may get one started -- I'll…
  • I am so glad I don't have painful periods, I'm sorry that you have had to deal with that!! If I do end up having PCOS I guess I am lucky for not having some of the crappier symptoms. I heard that some can have the pain without the cyst bursting, just pain from them being swollen or enlarged. I have an appt with my OBGYN on…
  • I'm just going straight to my OBGYN since I read that they can diagnose as well as look into it further whereas a primary physician might be able to diagnose but then refer anyways...so I am just going straight to the lady doctor! lol. I don't know if I have it exactly, I now have a strong feeling I do -- esp considering…
  • wow, I am so sorry you've had such a hard time with it -- if it is what I have, I would love to get a handle on it before it becomes a problem. I am really getting anxious to go see my doctor now lol, I am and information junkie so if this is what is going on with me I would like to know everything I can do to reduce my…
  • wow, keeping reading ya'lls responses and keep getting new things I have that i did not read about like the oily skin and dandruff... I had such bad oily skin when i was in middle school I had to use "TGEL" which is a tar shampoo that helps with greasyness, but if i didn't use it I would shower and a few hours later my…
  • thank you so much everyone! I am glad to hear I might be on the right track with this.... I'm not due to see my gyno until October, but maybe I can see her a bit early to ask her about this
  • You know....I just thought about something now that you mentioned starting early periods. When I was in 2nd grade, I had to start wearing a training bra and also I was in 6th grade when my period started. It was a lot earlier than most of my friends.... I wonder if that is related
  • thank you!!!!
  • a few years ago they did test my thyroid and it was fine then at least, but I do need to probably have them test again? and also for the hormonal thing... But I did read in many places that a lot of times people with PCOS have it because they are overweight and it's throwing their body functions out of whack & many times…
  • well being overweight is a common reason for someone to be hormonally imbalanced and if your hormones are not correct like just by a little bit it can make you just completely not ovulate and I think that's what's been happening with me considering many of the other symptoms i have that are common. But I figured I'd try to…
  • i thought about stress as well -- we did just have his dad and step mom living with us for close to two years -- they just moved out in may, so we've just recently gotten our house back to ourselves again. Maybe that too will make a difference lol, we were definitely stressed out while they were here lol (PS) I love your…
  • I'm so sorry to hear that! :frown: Have you been to a doctor at all?
