Sure, I'm in. I've been better about logging this past month, after seeing the doctor and getting bloodwork done that showed my calcium was a bit high. So, I've been more consistent about logging honestly and paying attention to nutrient intake, which has bled over to noticing calorie intake. Combined with Fitbit, I'm…

Howdy. I had started out at my well-visit with my doctor last June saying I wanted to lose 20 pounds by my next well-visit this coming June. Well, I went in for a different reason a couple of weeks ago, and rather than having lost any weight, I gained 2 pounds. So, I still have about 4 months before the scheduled…

Are you able to go for a walk on a break/on lunch? Even if up & down a hallway, if you can't get outside.

Nearly 4 months ago, I gave birth to my first child via emergency cesarian. I successfully lost the weight I had gained during the pregnancy, but I've been stuck at my pre-pregnancy weight for a while (I've been 145 for months even before I got pregnant). I'm 4'10", so I'd like to lose 30 pounds to get down to a normal BMI…

I'm 4'10", eating about 1750 calories a day, net (eating back exercise calories). Sometimes I go over, sometimes under. I've been logging for about a week, and it doesn't seem to have affected my milk supply. I'm nursing my 4 month old at night and pumping at work. I'm going to give it a bit longer to see if I maintain at…

Maybe try logging in on a computer. There might be a print option there.

Thanks! :-)

My daughter is 3.5 months. I've been back at work for about a month (nursing at night, pumping during the day). I had lost my pregnancy weight by my 6-week PP checkup, and have basically maintained over the past couple of months. I'm back to needing to lose 20-30 pounds, and wanting to start tackling that. I'm glad to…

I have about 30 pounds to lose as well, based on the BMI charts. I stopped actively trying to lose weight about a year ago when I found out I was pregnant. Now that my child is 3 months old and my milk supply is regulated, I'm interested in starting to lose weight again (I got back down to my pre-pregnancy weight within 6…

I'm ij the same boat. Even though I'm trying to lose weight, I told the system I want to maintain, and kept the activity level fairly low. Bare minimum for losing weight, people should eat no less than 1200 calories a day. With breastfeeding, we burn an additional 300 calories, so that puts us at a 1500 calorie minimum.…

Just starting life as a parent, with a 3 month old at home. Hubby stays home with her while I work full time. We have a limited budget, so I'm trying to balance healthy and inexpensive lunch items...often that's a mix of healthy and not-so-much. Dinners tend to be healthier, although we could stand to eat more veggies.…

Congrats on your baby! My first child was born in March. I've lost the baby weight, but I've plateaued at my pre-pregnancy weight. I'm hoping to lose 15-20 pounds. 30 pounds would put me at a "normal" BMI, so that is my ultimate goal. I'm currently breastfeeding, so to trick the system to allow for the recommended…

I just got back on MFP too, after having a baby girl in March. :-) I'm breastfeeding at night and pumping while I'm at work. I wish MFP had a setting for wanting to lose weight while breastfeeding, as the caloric requirements are different than when not BFing. So, for now I have it set to wanting to maintain weight, and…

Good luck to you! I agree to keep your goal at at least maintaining weight, or at whatever setting is recommended by your doc. Give yourself the grace to enjoy anything you might be craving, balancing it with getting decent nutrition overall. I'm on the other end of the pregnancy journey myself, having gotten back to my…

I used to have a drink when stressed (beer, etc), and I've made the choice to not use that as a tool anymore (mainly due to wanting to get pregnant and I don't want to there to be an issue of consuming alcohol during pregnancy), so I've needed to find another means of dealing with stress/frustration. It's really helped me…

The "boring" answer, yet has a draw of its own, is to qualify for my company's "good health" bonus--$25 Wellness Credit per two-week paycheck. My employer paying me for being healthy? $50/month? I'm in! The deadline is Sept 30 of each year to qualify for the credit for the next year. My main dis-qualifier is my BMI,…

Listening via the TuneIn app. About as good as I can do and still be in my office. They *might* have it on in the cafeteria, where there are TVs with cable. :-) That's how I watched the 2nd half of the USA/Germany game.

I think it's fairly common, decent form perhaps to at least acknowledge another runner, even walker. However, don't feel bummed if they don't respond. Yes, they could be buttheads, but then that's their problem and not yours. Or else they're just so "in the zone" that they honestly aren't paying attention...or are too out…

Hey, Paul. Just stumbled upon this group. Have you made it back to the States from Italy yet?
-
No, but I did join the one where I work, at Touro. It's been nice seeing coworkers there, and then pass each other in the hallway. When I haven't seen them at the fitness center in a while, I can ask them about it--and vice versa. A lot of times it's due to different shifts, or taking lunch at different times.

Thanks for the looks at different sites recommending how many calories we should eat. Is there a way to manually change my daily calorie goal here on MFP based on what I calculated on Scooby?
