You have a band wrapped and stitched around your stomach. You need to let it heal and the formation of scar tissue to hold the band in place is essential. By eating solids you risk moving the band. Stick to the prescribed diet. Just like Garber said. Doing whatever 'we' wanted to do is what got us here in the first place.

Never assume, and neither should your health care professionals, that everything is down to the bypass. Go back to your Doc, he should run bloods at the very least. Your dietician should have been working with you to up your cals to maintenance. What is your daily cal intake roughly?
