Oatcakes and houmous. Or a milky way or curly wurly if I need a sugar treat.

Id love to try this. Do you have the recipe ? I looked online but couldn't find anything. thanks.

I save enough calories and have a 100-120 cal sweet treat in the evening. It's my reward for a good day. If I've not been good and don't have the cals left then I don't have it !

I've got it and made a few things. I love the burgers and am going to make a curry this weekend. I thought the lasagne recipe sounded fiddly with the leeks instead of pasta. Maybe I'll give it a go and using quorn mince is a good idea.

slow cooker and wok.

Fantastic. Well done.

i have a 4 yr old who is fairly picky. We have a few favourites and then we have occasional meals that I know he won't eat. But if I don't serve him new things he will never be exposed to different foods. Things that do work. - Bolognaise mince - made in slow cooker. I serve half one night with spaghetti. then freeze…

I've got lots to lose too. About 6 stone to where I'd be happy. But then another 3.5 until the scales would be happy !! Happy for anyone to add me. Didn't realise there were so many with lots to lose in UK.

These sound great but I'm not familiar, in the UK, with the two items above. Can you give details. thanks x

Hi, I am so sorry for your loss and the pain that you are going through. I lost a baby boy at 7 months pregnant, also suffered a number rof miscarriages in early pregnancy. I have also carried my miracle little boy to full term and he is now 4. I carry one little boy in my arms and the others in my heart and soul. Happy to…

I also struggle with lunch options, especially as there is no fridge or microwave in my workplace. This week I have been having cous cous with tomato, cucumber, pepper, spring onion and raw mushroom mixed through it. Or boiled rice with a little low cal mayo and curry poweder mixed through. then add salad veg as with cous…

Hi, thank you all for your responses. I should have been more honest with you. I have signed up to this and have had 2 out of my 4 sessions. And have been listening to the cd at home 3 or 4 times a week. I should also have not done this right before I had family visit for Easter. My brain could not be reprogrammed when so…

Sounds amazing. But I'm in the UK and never heard of the cheese you mention. Is it just a cream cheese ?

I have a long list of sweet treats as I am exactly the same as you, sweet tooth. Also if I don't allow myself one a day then I will end up bingeing on extra large snickers or twix !! - choc ice 123cals ish - mini milk 30 cals - curly wurly/milkyway 100-115 - Cadbury's low cal choc mouse 50cals - choc biscuit (penguin) 106…

Again on the kindle debate. I'm torn Pro - for travelling now that baggage allowance is so low a kindle would be better than lining the bottom of my case with books. Con- I don't fancy reading Harry Potter to my son when he is old enough on the Kindle !

Those Linwood Barclay books are in the pile I have been given by a friend. I think I have read one of his in teh past. I tried really hard to read Sophie Kinsella once and failed. Not for me I don't think.

I am also a book worm. And also a paper lover and can't get into the idea of a kindle. Possibly for travel but not when i wantt o curl up on sofa with a cup of tea and a good book. Curling up with a Kindle just doesn't seem right. I'm reading a thriller things just now, The Killing Hour. Not really a genre I've ever been…

Agree with the pearl barley. Try maybe butternut squash and red lentil soup. Low GI so will be really filling. i have to make soup really bulky to fill me up. Or i end up eating lots of crusty bread with lashings of butter to accompany the soup !!

Yuck, wish I could like porridge but I just can't. yuck yuck yuck. Love scrambled or poached eggs on toast . Mostly just cereal when at work, or a yogurt. OMG, pancakes. I might have to make some tomorrow. Anna_43. I have never in my life heard of boiling bacon. Only ever grilled or fried. Honestly would never occur to me…

Feel free to add me or message me. I am TTC (trying to conceive) my second. I have a little boy currently. I had a miscarriage before I fell pregnant with my son. When pregnant previously I was about 28lbs lighter than I am now (which is by no means all I need to lose) So I'm hoping that a little weight loss will help in…

Hello from Edinburgh.

this made me laugh out loud. Me too !! x

How about homemade veg soup or butternut squash soup for lunch ? Or swap your afternoon snack for houmous and carrots or some nuts and seeds. Personally I find it easier to cut out the carb in the evening, and like you this is family meal time. But for example if we are having chicken, potatoes and veg then i just leave…

Hi, Can I join in ? I'm 36, based in Edinburgh and a mum of one. I'm also 247 lbs. I tipped the scale this time 2 years ago at 278. I have been 30lbs lighter but have put it all back on recently. So I'm back again on MFP logging cals and trying to find time for exercise. Exercise is my biggest issue, I can eat well no…

A Wagamamas has just opened in Edinburgh (can't believe we didn't have one until now) Anyway I've got lunch there soon. Any low cal recommendations ?
-
I would love your mince pie recipe if they are only 80 cals each. I looked at a box of Mr Kipling mince pies the other day and they were over 200 cals each. My favourite things just now I've swapped ryvita for ryvita original crackerbread. Only 19cals a slice Weight watchers ricj choc dessert pot, only 62cals each

I've been rubbish at posting, Sorry. But good at encouraging any friends I've made from UK thread so not all bad ! Cold and sunny here today. Watched a few food programmes this week - love getting enw ideas. But rarely make anything from them. This week loads of good ideas for snacks and canapes for Christmas but all…

Ooops, posted on the old thread first. Morning all, what a change in weather from last week. Cold and windy in Edinburgh today. I'm thinking winter soups and stews compared to the BBQ and ice lollies of last week. I've been a bit rubbish since my birthday last week. And it's my 3 year old's birthday tomorrow so my house is…
