This is what I did. I'm due in less than 2 weeks and I've gained 25lbs. I'm happy with this weight.

I've been a normal weight all of my life and my periods were regular. However, I underwent fertility testing when my hubby and I TTC'd for a few years with no luck. Anyhow, I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis. To put it lightly, I had major issues with my plumbing. I underwent a surgical procedure to remove one…

I hope everyone is doing well and that 2015 started off on a good note. We didn't do much. Spent some time at the cottage but I'm back home now for a couple of days and I'm heading back tomorrow afternoon. We will stay for a few days. We have some wicked cold weather heading our way, so I'm going to pull out my sewing…

That sucks. Hopefully it will pass. I've been feeling ok lately. Just some cramping and not sleeping well at night. I've been at the cottage for a few days. We had a super bad storm when driving down. DH plowed the driveway right away in the event we have to make a hasty exit if I go into labour. Luckily, our cottage is…

I finally finished my house cleaning list. I'm so happy it's done. The only left to do is transporting baby stuff to the cottage and getting the room setup there. We're not decorating or anything. Just putting things away and setting up the pack n' play. I've been really tired lately. I have to take a lot of breaks when…

I'm 37 weeks and up 23lbs. I wanted to gain around 25lbs, so I'm happy at the moment. Luckily, I'm not retaining any water and I haven't slowed down too much. I haven't walked in a few days, but that's due to time constraints. I will get back on the wagon this week since my last day of work is December 23rd. The dog will…

Alex, I hope things start looking up for you. It sucks that nobody has offered to watch your toddler. Do you not have family in you neck of the woods? Keep your chin up. Soon enough you will have your new bundle of joy and this period will only be a memory.

We don't know what we're having yet. We'll find out on the big day.

I'm so sorry for your loss and the situation you find yourself in. Losing a loved-one around Christmas is difficult. It's even harder when you cannot attend the funeral. Take care.

Take care, Alex. Hoping the baby waits a few weeks before making an appearance.

I'm 36 weeks and I'm up 22 lbs.

Went to the doctor's this morning and I'm measuring just as I should be. I'm very happy about that. Apparently the baby is head down. I was off yesterday and today, and I was able to accomplish a lot. I bought all of the remaining necessities needed for baby and for me. In addition, I cleaned out my kitchen and entrance.…

I'm still feeling the baby's movement…quite a bit actually. I think I'm feeling hands and feet. It's a very strange sensation. The baby still has the same movement patterns. Busy in the morning and busy before bed.

Wow, excellent work, ladies!!! I wish I liked lifting, but I really don't. I have a super active Rottweiler who requires a minimum 1 hour daily walk, so she's my gym on four paws. I would consider wrangling her resistance training since she weights 75lbs. LOL. The walking has definitely helped me keep the weight down…

I'm due January 16th. I have pretty much everything ready. The baby's room is done. We just ordered the glider and crib. However, if baby was early, we have the pack n play setup. We will bring the pack n play to the cottage on the weekend. It will have more use there because we don't have a lot of room.

I have quite the to do list. Most of it was cleaning and organizing. The upstairs and the downstairs are finished. I just need to do the kitchen and living room. I'm hoping to have these done this week. :)

First off, restricting calories while pregnant is not a good idea. If you are at a normal BMI, docs will tell you to gain between 25 to 35 pounds. I'm almost 35 weeks pregnant and I'm at a 20lb gain. I should be at the 25lb mark by the time I have this baby. It's where I wanted to be. Things I've done to make sure I'm…

I think your fears are normal for a lot of women. There seems to be this myth that every woman falls instantly in love with her baby as soon as it exits her womb. I'm sure this is the case for some, but for others it isn't. My friend told me it took her some time to bond with her first born. I think it's normal. Have you…

Going on 35 weeks and all I do is walk.

Thanks, coco!!! Seems like this happens a lot to some women. It's a little more reassuring. I've upped my calories to gain 5lbs per week. that will have me at a 25-30lb gain. Right where I should be.

I went for my routine OB appointment and the doc told me I was measuring a little behind. This was after she measured my stomach. Anyhow, I was pretty upset after the appointment and started reading online. BIG MISTAKE!!! I've calmed down a bit because everything has been going well so far. It's difficult not to worry.

AMLL, do what you feel is right re: your work situation. You have someone to cover you, so it's not like you're leaving them high and dry. Just stick to your guns and say you're not feeling up to it. They cannot force you to go in. As for the breastfeeding issue, it seems like it's easy for some and not easy for others.…

My calories have been set on maintenance since I found out I was pregnant. I haven't increased them because that would just send me over the edge. I eat when hungry and stop when I'm full. I'm at 34 weeks and my gain has been 20-23lbs (depending on the day). I DO NOT feel well if I overeat, so I really don't worry about…

I agree with everyone...listen to your body. I'm not really into lifting weights, but I love to walk and run. I stopped running at about 5.5 months pregnant and now I walk. Some days I walk 3km and other days I can walk 8km. I'm 34 weeks at the moment and walked 8km last night at a fast pace. It was very cold outside and…

It's strange that you are not losing weight if you're only eating 1600 calories/day and exercising + nursing on top of that. Maybe it's a hormone thing because you are still nursing (?)... I've read that there are many women who do not magically lose weight while breastfeeding. I also agree with the person who said you…

I plan on doing a little bit of nursing, pumping and formula feeding. I'm going to stick with whatever I like the most. I'm not 100% set on one of method of feeding. I'm going to go with the flow. My biggest concern at the moment is lack of sleep. I have about 4 weeks left of full time work, but it's a struggle at the…

Around 22 to 23 weeks is when I knew for sure it was the baby and not gas. LOL. I'm 33 weeks now and the baby is very busy in there. The OB even told me I have an active baby. I think it will be a busy kid. Oh well. My DH and I are both busy, so I think we can handle it.

I created a generic registry online and only about half the attendees followed it. People will buy you what they want to buy you. Just be grateful for anything you get. If it's something you absolutely do not need or do not want, just return it and get whatever it is you need. Luckily, everything I got will be used, so no…

alex, eat when you're hungry. You're body is telling you in needs energy. For some reason, I've been doing this throughout my pregnancy and it seems to work. I didn't gain any weight between my last two OB appointments, but she didn't seem concerned. My measurements are still right on target. xelor, sounds like you're…

My due date is January 16th. I'm still feeling pretty good and walking an average of 5km per day or longer. I have a very active dog, so she keeps me going. My pregnancy has been pretty easy and I still have it pretty good at this point. However, my sleep has been disturbed and I'm super constipated. I've increased my…
