I bought a cheaper treadmill and just bought a generic treadmill laptop table. Cost me abou $400. I use a laptop for work so it was easy enough to do.

I used my phone to track steps. It was 11,000 steps. GoogleFit has been accurate for me in the past for my walks and cycling. Not sure how accurate it would be for marching in place. I definitely feel it today. I am going to check my heart rate from time to time. I might be able to get a more accurate reading this way.

Can you borrow a friends or family member's dog? I run with a Doberman and/or Rottweiler. Nobody gives me a hard time.

Many of the comments here are reasons why I am not a big fan of the gym. So much judgyness. Who cares if someone doesn't lift heavy. I'm 5ft7" and weigh 151 lbs. I have the FitBit Surge and it records approx 350/400 calories for a 5km walk, which takes me approx 50 minutes. I am pushing a stroller.

Love the pictures! Ottawa and Montreal can get pretty cold at times. I live in Timmins and don't run too much in the winter because we get so much snow and cold. The sidewalks aren't always cleared. I will walk, ski or snowshoe instead. We have crazy winters up here.

I am in. I try to get at least 10k in a day. My average is usually 12k to 13k. I can manage about 3,000 steps just from doing stuff at home and then the rest comes from walking the dog. My minimum walk is 5km. As of 10pm, I am at 12,984 steps. I will probably get to 13k when I go up to bed. :)

You're probably active at your job. Get a cheapie step tracker and you may surprise yourself. Are you able to go for a walk with your daughter?

I'm in Northern Ontario. I really did see a moose cow and two calves when driving home from the cottage. Didn't stop at Tim Horton's though.

I agree with the above poster. I bought the surge a little over a month ago and it seems pretty accurate. I was surprised at how many calories I burned from walking.

The best exercise is the one you stick with. Personally, I get the best results with walking because I do it everyday. Keep it simple. :smiley:

The best motivation for me is a fussy baby that is soothed instantly when going for a walk or jog. LOL. I can walk all day. :)

I also recommend walking/running with the baby or purchasing a carrier. Also, push-ups, planks and tricep dips can be done pretty much anywhere. No equipment required.

Honestly, I really don't care. I'm sure I'm eating genetically modified foods everyday. I don't care if the food is non-organic or if it contains gluten, etc. There are bigger things to worry about such as poor diet and living a sedentary lifestyle.

I had my calories set to maintenance. I ate when hungry and listened to my body. Sometimes I would go over calories and sometimes I would be under. My due date is tomorrow and my weight gain so far is 25lbs. I'm happy with that.

We just told our parents over the phone (DH's parents live far away) and in person. I never really announced anything on Facebook. Just told people in person as we saw them.

I don't know if I'm dilated or not. My OB didn't check yesterday. Doesn't feel like anything is happening. I'm due in one week. I'm heading to the cottage again today and I'm staying until Sunday or Monday. If I go into labour, I have a 1.5hour ride to the hospital. I should be ok. :)
