When I first got my Jawbone, it exaggerated the calories burned until I calibrated it to my stride which gets it closer to my HRM calculation. I don't have a Fitbit but perhaps there's a way to calibrate that to your stride too. Although his is more applicable for walking/running, it got closer with cardio workouts too. I…

I've done martial arts for +20 years and spent some time with Tai Chi. It's a soft style art that will help with your balance and mobility. It helps alleviates joint pain because you're using them and strengthening your stability muscles while not becoming stagnant. As a form of weight loss? In the beginning maybe a little…

Yup! Same here. It's hard to find that cutoff at the end of the day if you work from home.

Hit a punching bag which requires much more exertion than shadow boxing. If you never done it, be sure to use wraps or support gloves to protect your wrists and hit at 50% force. Don't have a punching bag then use a mattress or stuff a trash bag full of clothes. If you do rapid successions with impact, you'll be bone tired…

Feel free to add me. I'm on my 4th week into P90X3 and don't have any friends doing the same program. I log everyday and I'll gladly reciprocate support. I've done P90X and P90X2 and tried their nutrition plan. It's not a sustainable program for me so I'm simply focusing on portion control and cal counting.

You can also ask his teachers for worksheets. They'll always happily oblige.

My kid had this problem beginning 6th. Thankfully, the school has an online site in which I can monitor his progress and see what assignments were not turned in. So I made a deal with him, since the purpose of homework was to reinforce what you've learned in school, any missed homework would result in an assignment I gave…

Maybe I'm a sucker, but I'm truly here for inspiration and support. My friends and family don't share the passion I have to get fit so I look towards y'all. Keeping this mindset leaves me motivated.

If you're at the gym, use the lat bar. Start small until you reach your weight. At home, you can put a chair under you and use your legs to help you up. As you progress, use less legs and put the chair farther away. There's also a chin-up assist device. It's like rubber bands that you connect to the bar and step in with…

You start with the fit test to set your baseline. You'll then re-test at certain intervals to see your improvement. Do what you can. Stick with it and you'll see great results! When I started, I struggled and took a lot of breaks. If you don't blast through it by the end of 60 days, I'm sure you will after 120 days. A foam…

You're welcome to friend me. I'll gladly support you through your journey.

You've got this! I recall the first time doing this. I was tired from the initial warmup. I was also really sore for the first week, but persist because it'll get better. Like @that_dani said, do your pace. Even some of the folks in the video took breaks.

Try P90X

Yes, thanks for the extra insight @kelfran1. Ovens can vary; Mine is electric and I use the center rack so check frequently if it's your first time. Next time I make it, I'll post a pic when I take it out of the oven for a better visual.

Almonds and pistachios already offer a good amount of protein. I know some people added dark chocolate chunks but that's too sweet for me and adds to the sugar content. As I mentioned earlier, add some ground flaxseed which contributes to the nuttiness and won't compromise the taste. I can't see why you can't add a couple…
