  • Another good book is the blood sugar solution, he has a good facebook site also. Same thing, carbs BAD. I got it from the library. I find that I need constant reinforcement to not go back to bad habits.:drinker:

  • Urghhhh just ate too many Ikea Swedish meatballs then read the package. Just blew my carb intake for the day! Getting on the treadmill to hopefully counteract.

  • Started Atkins about 12 days ago. Not only am I not hungry and have no cravings but I have a complete disinterest in food. I simply don't want to eat. I wonder for those of you that increased your carbs by adding 5 grams of carbs by fruit did it increase your appetite?
  • A friend that has done Atkins recommended drinking a "Zero" drink (no calorie/no carb) as it helps with electrolyte replacement and the Atkins "flu". I drank one and felt a ton better.
  • Lost 5 lbs first week. For those in doubt, when I've done low calorie, low fat diets it could be a month or two before losing 5 lbs. Also, someone told me to drink a "Zero" drink if you have headaches or Atkins flu, as it replaces electrolytes, and it worked. I also found that "dieters tea" helps with constipation.

  • Thank you, I've been used to counting calories so putting a tbsp. of cream at 50 calories concerned me. However it has been 3 days and I'm 2lbs lighter. I'm sure it is water but I feel better and it gave me the boost I need to continue with Atkins.
