  • I agree, I wouldn't fret over 1.8 pounds in a vacation week. Even flying makes you retain water. I found that my weight jumped a lot during Atkins and it was usually related to my water intake and salt intake. Measurements are more accurate. Keep up the great work and don't worry.

  • From personal experience I say yes, I had 20 lbs to lose, after losing 12, I am high normal BMI. It has become quite difficult to lose a pound a week. It took about 7 weeks to lose the 12 pounds. I exercise but not at high intensity.

  • Foxruddlec, We are same weight and almost same height. I agree you will know your body the best so if weights don't work for you then don't do them. Sometimes cutting out dairy for a couple of weeks and lowering carbs helps jumpstart the weight loss.
