  • You can have those extra calories, but first you have to earn them with exercise! Have you set up your daily calorie goal here on MFP? If you don't have a goal set, you're just shooting into the wind with no direction. This will give you the guideline you need to get to where you want to go!
  • I just picked up this digital scale by recommendation on sale at Amazon. $21 shipped! It pretty much has all the features I'll need, and I am hoping it will allow me to more accurately measure my portions. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003E7AZQA/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  • Thanks Shyjaan! I hope it helps you out too. I think I am about to order the one that GGDaddy recommended to me. It's cheap, and looks like it has all the functions I would need it to have.
  • Wow! Thanks for the link! I might have to pick this up!
  • Touche! Haha, love it! Sounds really good actually. Thanks for sharing!

  • Cheat days are necessary in my mind. If you don't allow yourself 1 cheat day per week, you will binge at some point. So, allow yourself to do it. It's psychologically good for you.
  • Same here. I know there will be up and down fluctuations, but I like it for the data and the graphs that MFP shows.
  • I have noticed with exercise, my appetite has gone through the roof too. I could eat a horse. Just keep it in check and stay under your calorie count if you are looking to lose the weight.
  • Jester hit the nail right on the head.
  • While I do agree with the others that "Yes, it does technically count as intake", it's not the best because of those artificial sweeteners. I would suggest, as others have, spritzing it with lime, or lemon... something natural. Not only will it taste better, but a lot of things that you add to water can actually have…
  • To the OP, I am doing something called Crossfit. It's a lot of fun, and it incorporates both cardio and weight lifting. If you don't know much about it, do a search on Google. There will be tons of hits on it. I go to a dedicated Crossfit center, and they are pricey (more-so than just a regular gym membership) but I've…
