I weigh once per week for my "official" check ins with MFP. Will I step on the scale daily? Sometimes... but it can drive one crazy by doing that. There are way too many factors in my opinion to take that data in on a daily basis. The best indicator is how you are feeling, and looking in the mirror, and how your clothes…

Fantastic job and very inspiring! Keep up the great work and positive mindset!

I have 2 herniated discs in my lumbar spine, plus damage to S1 and tailbone. My relief has been coming from a Teeter inversion table. Best money ever spent on myself. When I'm plain free, I'm at Planet Fitness doing cardio and lifting weights.

That's great! Stay motivated! I've had ups & downs since 2014. I'm in need of losing about 35 lbs, and have just restarted my journey.

On again, off again here too. It is time for me to reign my health and weight back in. I'm approximately 35 lbs overweight, at 41 years old. I rejoined a Planet Fitness last weekend and went to the gym 4 times this past week. Down 1.4 lbs after the first week, and generally feeling better, so I'm currently pretty…

The old saying of quality over quantity kind of applies here. There's no need to work out multiple times per day. Once is fine. Focus on the quality of your workouts. Also, remember, even those workouts you think aren't great, are better than nothing at all. The key is consistency.

Amazing dude!

Good for you man! Keep up the great work!

Inspirational bud! Good job, keep it up!

Way to go Slugger! ;) (From a fellow Mainah!)

Woohoo! Good for you!

Wait, did your eye color change?! You look great btw!

Very inspirational! Have you thought about going to school to become a personal trainer?

Awesome work, especially doing something like this by yourself!

Nice work! On the right track!!

You definitely want to try and get your macros as close as possible, at least for fats, carbs and protein. Carbs ARE ok... just focus most of them before and after your workouts. Carbs are used for fuel, and they are also used to replenish glycogen stores in muscles AFTER working out. It's a common myth that they are the…

Damn, good work!

Fantastic job! What is your goal weight?

Fantastic transformation, and congrats to you on your major in school... you can now help others do exactly what YOU did!
-
Good for you man! Great work :)

At least you are being smart with your carbs though... and it's not like bagels and chips and stuff! Everything you are eating sounds to be good! I'm sure you'll do fine on the rest of your journey!

I would bring your carb ratio down a bit if you aren't weightlifting. Up your fat intake a bit. Fat is essential for hormone production. Go to like a 40/40/30 ratio instead of having 50% of your calories coming from carbs. I mean, it's working for you, but you don't need that many carbs if you are focusing strictly on…

My brother has one, and from what I've noticed him posting, I agree with others that the bf portion of it is useless. His bf can jump anywhere from 1 to 5 percent per day... which is ridiculously inaccurate. I am purchasing something called Skulpt (it's about $200) but it is within 1% accurate of having yourself…

It is important to get both protein and carbs post workout. When you work out, you are depleting your glycogen stores in your muscles. In order to refuel that, you need carbs, specifically fast absorbing carbs. I actually eat a few Rice Krispie Treats. Others use pixie sticks, gummy bears, etc. If you think I'm crazy... do…

There are a ton of Crossfit haters out there, but the fact of the matter is, it works. You are proof, as well as so many others! Congrats on your transformation!

This is the perfect post to show other women that just because you lift HEAVY, it doesn't mean you're going to turn into one of those musclehead freaks! So many women are afraid of this, but weightlifting is what does the sculpting! You look great :)
-
Are you taking pictures during your transformation? If not, it's very helpful to do so. Once a month, and then compare... then you'll see the differences!
-
Congratulations! You have put in the hard work and it shows!

That's great that you are taking action Peter. Some people cannot (Type 1 Diabetics, like my brother). He'll always be insulin dependent, but he is controlling other aspects of it with eating healthier and exercising regularly.

Good for you man! A few years ago I shed about 40 lbs with eating right using MFP and doing Crossfit. I've since stopped Crossfit and then went on to traditional weightlifting. I got bored, complacent, and put 20lbs back on. Now I'm back doing HIIT and getting ready to lose about 20 more pounds with it. Weights are…
