Figure out the bare minimum that's required to lose 2 pounds per week for you. Work up a sweat every day when working out. If you run or use a treadmill, if you can work up to 45 min. at 5 mph, you will greatly enhance your metabolism.

I think they may be helpful if you've overindulged on sodium and are carrying extra water weight. For example, in one bad weekend, I'll gain 10 pounds of water. The next couple of days I use a sauna suit when running to get back to where I was more quickly, otherwise it takes me the next week or two to get back to normal.…

I find when eating out I have to watch sodium more carefully. I can usually fit fast food calories easily enough, but the sodium has me retaining water pretty fiercely.

When it comes to guacamole, my philosophy is the simpler the better. That said, I've been thinking about adding a packet of Sazon Goya to it. It's the secret ingredient to a lot of prize-winning chili recipes and I think it would go well in some guac.

Here's what I did. I wanted to build up to running at 5 mph for 45 minutes. I learned that when you can do that consistently 5 days in a row, it will greatly improve your metabolism.
