  • Hang in there frats. I was at a plateau for about a month and it only started to shift this week. I just did day 1 of level 2. I did level 1 standing on the rug but today it kept bunching up under my feet so I think I might need to do level 2 on the tiles. I found those narrow squats with the v lift at the end really hard.…
  • In my experience the day off principal applies when you are doing heavier weights to gain muscle bulk. The DVD calls for high numbers of reps but with relatively low weights in order to tone so you're not actually tearing the muscle which is what happens with low rep heavy weight lifting. I did 9 days straight before…
  • Day 10 level 1 done. Today I was struggling not to vomit after being sick and in the emergency room yesterday. Am siting here now on the couch previewing level 2. My big news is that today I reached (and actually surpassed) my goal weight.

  • I keep seeing NSV but what does it stand for? I'm guessing something something Victory?
  • Hey frats, you're not totally alone - I'm still here :-) I spent Tuesday night in the emergency room at the hospital so missed Wednesday's workout :-( I'm going to try and do level 1 day 10 today and depending how I feel afterwards I think I'll try and double up and do day 1 of level 2 as well so I'm back on track.
  • Day 9 done. My thighs and hips are feeling a bit firmer to the touch. Looking forward to starting Level 2 on Thursday. I am doing a bit of extra cardio (walking, stationary bike an/dor elliptical 3 or 4 times per week.

  • Day 8 done today. Looking forward to moving onto level 2 on Thursday.
  • I don't count my morning caffeinated chai tea (with milk) in my water intake but I do count the three or four herbal teas that I have during the day towards my water intake.
  • I just did day 7 but I think I'm suffering a bit of a virus so was only able to do it at about 80% intensity (but hey at least I did it). I had my BF take a measurement because I was dying to know if I was making any progress and with 7 days of shred and 3 x 30 minute session on the exercise bike and cross trainer (15 mins…

  • Day 6 level 1 completed without any breaks and I managed both sets of push ups off my toes (21 in first set and 15 in second set) burning 199 calories.

  • Celery tablets. They are a great natural diuretic. I use them most months at that TOM because my body tends to hold onto gallons of extra fluid.
  • I started Monday 2nd so today will be day 6 for me. My starting stats were; Height - 163cm (5'4") Weight - 55.7kg (122.5lbs) Right arm - 28cm (11.2 inches) Left arm - 28cm (11.2 inches) Chest - 87.5cm (35 inches) Waist - 70.5cm (28.2 inches) Hips - 97cm (38.8 inches) Right thigh - 55cm (22.0 inches) Left thigh - 55cm (22.0…
  • I'm intending (and hoping) to do the 30 days straight without a break.
  • Day 5 level 1 done today. Got through the first set of push ups off my toes and did 5 off my toes in the second set before dropping to my knees. Tomorrow's goal is to push straight through the side lunges with anterior raises (today I did all the lunges but half way through did two without the anterior raises to give my…

  • I looked up dishes to try and have some knowledge going in but since I don't know what a lot of the stuff is it makes it tricky. I also love satay and coconut but know how calorie laden they can be.
  • I'm a little taller at 5 foot 4 but have managed to get down to 122lbs so I know what you mean about a lack of 'wiggle room'. Friend me if I'm not too tall to be considered petite :-)
  • The 1490 already factors in your deficit (so if you weren't trying to lose a pound a week you would need to eat about 1990 calories per day to maintain your current weight). Basically you any calories you 'earn' by exercising you can eat back and still expect to lose one pound per week. Some people eat back all their…
  • I'm 5'4" and 122.5 pounds. Day 1 I burnt 196 calories, day 2 I burnt 231 calories and today being day three I burnt 222 calories. It obviously depends though on your weight, pre-existing level of fitness and how hard you push yourself.
  • Day 3 level 1 done. I plan to try and do 30 days straight though I'm having spinal injections under anastethic next Wednesday and probably won't be able to do it so will probably do it twice on the Tuesday so I don't end up a day behind.
  • Hi all. I started 30DS on Monday and was posting on another thread but it seems most of the participants didn't actually start like they said they would so if it is ok I might jump onto this thread. My starting stats; Height - 163cm (5'4") Weight - 55.7kg (122.5lbs) Right arm - 28cm (11.2 inches) Left arm - 28cm (11.2…
  • I am hanging out for a banana but they are nearly impossibly to get in Australia at the moment because Cyclone Yasi totally destroyed virtually all the plantations. If you can find them they are about $12 per kilo. I thought I had my fruit and vegie intake about right but maybe I need to reassess that area of my diet???? I…
  • Day 2 Level 1 done. Burnt 231 calories today - 35 more than yesterday.
