We got my stepdaughters Just Dance 3 for Christmas and they talked me into having a go with them and I was amazed how much I sweated. I just did a 29 minute Just Dance workout and burnt 294 calories. I think I will include this a few times a week from now on.

I've been adding two teaspoons to my muesli or yoghurt or muesli each morning for the last month along with LSA, psyllium husks and cinnamon and things in my guts have finally started moving :-)

Is GI gastrointestional? I was tested for coeliac about 15 years ago when my nan was diagnosed and it came back negative which makes me think it isn't gluten/wheat that is causing my problem.

I should say that I have discussed this with my regular GP several times already and he hasn't really offered much advice or direction. I guess that is why I am trying to work out where to head next so I can go back to him knowing what sort of referral to be asking for.

Years ago I did Body Pump 3 or 4 times per week. I really liked it and enjoyed the challenge of gradually upping my weights. I've done quite a lot of the other Les Mills' classes too including Body Balance, Body Jam, RPM and Body Attack which was my favourite.

Bananas - $14 per kilo since Cyclone Yasi hit last summer.

I eat goji berries and we often cook with garlic and/or onions. Have requested that my BF pick up some smoked salmon for me to have for lunch on toast with light philadelphia. Yummy!!! What else should I be trying to include at this time???????

At the moment I stretch several times a day using a combination of stretches and some yoga postures. Tomorrow I am starting a 10 week fit yoga course which consisted of two 75 minute classes per week. They also recommend taking at least one general yoga class a week during the course.

I feel your pain. I've had a back injury for over two years and can't run at the moment either and my physio has also said no to swimming. I have been doing exercise DVDs and just modify any moves I know are likely to stir up my injury. I am having surgery tomorrow and again a fortnight later and hope I might be able to…

Your diary looks amazing. About the only thing I could suggest would be to consider swapping Splenda for honey.

Sara what sort of heart rate are you hitting during these workouts? I have a polar too (have done for years) - if I average 130bpm I burn in the vicinity of 500 cals per hour. If you message me a few of your stats I'll try and figure out if the HRM is correctly calculating things. As others have suggested the 30 Day Shred…

You'll probably need to add each component of the sandwhich as a seperate item as per my lunch from Monday (my diary is open).

I agree. I would look at only having only one 'carb' (potato OR rice OR tortilla OR bread) at each meal and adding in non-starchy vegies or proteins instead. You also don't seem to have any dairy so that is something you might want to try incorporating - I find that low fat dairy fills me up well.

Psyllium husks - they are 80% fibre. I add a few teaspoons to my muesli or yoghurt. Chia seeds are good too and are high in antioxidents and protein. Apples. Pears. Raspberries. Dried figs or dates. Pumpkin and sweetpotato. Grainy breads, wraps or crackers.

Like everyone else said - they are a highly processed food and should be a sometimes food not an often food.

I have had a couple of laparoscopies. Recovery time will depend on exactly what they do during the procedure - if they just have a look it probably won't be long but if they do surgical stuff within your abdomen it could be a few weeks or more.

Hey frats. If you are thinking of getting another DVD maybe get Banish Fat Boost Metabolism - it has 7 x 5 minute cardio circuits including one which is exclusively abs. Or, No More Trouble Zones which is also 7 x 5. It uses the weights like 30DS and one circuit is all abs and another three focus on core strength.

I did 30DS and loved it - RI30 isn't available in Australia yet. I've also done her Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones DVDs.

I also hate oatmeal (though we call it porridge here) though I plan to give it another try this week. I'd be interested in any alternatives too - am getting a little sick of my standard yoghurt or muesli with chia seeds, LSA and psyllium husks.
-
I either put it in my yoghurt or muesli along with psyllium husks and chia seeds. You can also put it into smoothies. To be honest I don't notice the taste.

If you are bloated as the result of water retention try taking a celery tablet (they are available from the chemist or healthfood store). They are a great natural diuretic and I use them for a few days each month in the leadup to my TOM.

I have a thoracic facet joint injury and on a med for neuropathic pain that is also prescribed to fibro sufferers. The previous med I was on saw me put on 6.5kg (14lbs) in 4 weeks. I have found that increasing my fibre has helped me get my weight back under control and has helped alleviate some of the side effects of the…

Being a runner (that is before I injured my back) I use to get terrible blisters from my fibreglass orthotics. I find putting a cotton wool ball over the spot that is prone to blisters and securing it with a big piece of elastoplast is the best was to give the blisters time to heal. However, when I'm running I have just…

I'm having nerve ablation done in July and August. Have sent you a friend request.

I used 2kg (4.4lb) weights when I did 30DS in May. My results can be seen on my profile page.

With your t-shirt makes sure it isn't too loose unless you don't mind flashing your belly when you do the poses that have you bending over like downward facing dog. Avoid t-shirts or tops with hoods too as these flop down when you bend over and can get annoying.

I tried introducing a similar concoction a few weeks ago to counter reflux. I found it pretty hard to get down though it did seem to help the reflux. Given the unpleasant taste I don't think ACV will become a regular part of my diet but I would use it again rather than turning to prescription or over the counter antacids.

I did 30DS in May and really liked it. I then bought Banish Fat Boost Metabolism. I like the cardio workout from that but felt I was losing some of the upper muscle tone I had gained during 30DS so I have begun to include that again a few times a week. I borrowed No More Trouble Zones from the library and did it last night…
