I would think it is up to her and her doctors to determine what her "healthy lifestyle" is

Good luck! Maybe I will see you there! Haven't decided to sign up yet because I'll be alone and its like a 3 hour drive for me.
-
Hey are you doing the one in Amity? I've been thinking about signing up for that one!

I would say it depends on where you live. I'm a sourthern gal, and we don't usually have snow and such on the ground, but I have to deal with a lot of soggy mush. Shoes that are GOOD running shoes and aren't going to leave my feet soaked are a must. I layer as well, something for the ears, a light jacket and pants, but the…

Found it! Happy Two Years! Also... I has the giggles now. Aborting lol

Jan 14 was the month I started. The original goal was to drop 35 pounds from 165 to 130. I didn't make my goal. Currently only 13 pounds down, but that's ok. I found lifting and realized the #'s on the scale don't mean a thing! Still attempting to lose some inches, but from this point its going to be slow progress. That's…

This is great, but it's missing two very important places: Randland and Faerun!!

Yes! I'm far more worried about marauding bears than I am people! I'm slow and I just imagine some critter would think... that slow, weird, two legged deer would make a perfect supper.

I run at night sometimes with a headlamp and a flashlight. I also carry a knife and pepper spray and run with my German Shepherd. It's kind of scary, especially since I run out in the country vs in a lighted town but ya gotta go what ya gotta do. Safety 1st... or 3rd... or whatever.

You run. End of story. The people who say otherwise are stupid - says the girl who runs 13 min miles.
-
:) Just focus on the positive instead of the negatives. Its frustrating for sure (I know I haven't lost a pound in probably six months) but its the not giving up that matters!

If you're not hungry I see no reason to stuff yourself as long as you are consuming enough calories throughout the day.

Slow weight loss is better than no weight loss right? You could stop what your doing, give up and go back to old habits but then you'd be right back in the same boat that made you want to start bailing in the first place. You're working hard and progressing, more slowly than you wanted, but progress is progress after all.

Something that really clicked with me "It's not about motivation, it's about dedication."

5'9", 152, 29 inch waist and totally considering moving to Toronto just so I can be the giant amazonian in the room. *imagines screams of GODZILLA!!!! every time I walk outside*

Exactly! I love food and I love to eat so cutting out foods isn't an option for me, but controlling how much I eat of what is! I didn't want to just lose weight. I wanted a lifestyle change that was sustainable long term.

This is a great read about progress without losing inches (she actually gained a few pounds): bretcontreras.com/strength-creates-curves/
Thanks for the link! Its pretty close to what happened with me. I was upset for quite some time over busting my butt but not losing any weight. Then I got to where I could see the…

Damn, what strength building are you doing for abs like that?! Amazing!
Thank you! A little of this and a little of that. I get bored easily so I change it up all the time. Currently I run every other day (or there abouts) and the days between are filled with things like yoga, 30 day shred, insanity, kettlebells…

Thank ya! :)

Exact same weight and inches. However I think the progression is pretty noticeable. :)

wow awesome!

I ran two whole (slow) miles!

Ebola is not transmittable unless the patient is exhibiting symptoms. So really even if he is currently infected, unless he is feverish and exorcist puking on his patients, he could play tongue hockey with each and every one of them - recently returned from Africa or not - and they wouldn't contract it. I mean why didn't…
-
For the love of all things holy.... Stop, just stop with the whole Ebola thing.

Ate an entire tub of Nutella with a spoon... Not one of the little tubs. Family size.

Never once did I say you were horrible. I did imply that your reaction was inappropriate and uncalled for. If you've apologized to the guy there is no real need for anything more.
-
You asked someone else to comply to your demands. They didn't and instead of moving the chocolate yourself you dumped candy on someones desk because they left a bowl of it on yours. Then instead of just apologizing to the person for the overreaction you made a thread on mfp asking if you were a horrible person to justify…
-
You're throwing the responsibility for your actions on someone else. And if you're really treating chocolate like a "drug" and an "addiction" then your first step (like in rehab) is to take responsibility for your actions. You hold the power over yourself and not anyone else. Don't want the smell of it around you, then…

I think there's a difference in chucking the stuff in the garbage and elevating the whole situation by dumping it all over someones work desk and leaving a rude note. Dude may have been being a jerk, but OP threw herself in the jackwagon train as well.

I wouldn't want to play with you any more either.
