Well I'm a type 1 diabetic. So that ship has sailed, lol but that's the issue in itself. I'm on a low carb diet because of my diabetes so watching carbs and calories makes it difficult. Also, I do eat low cal veggies, I just don't count them (the rule is i can have as much of those as I want, which i've added them up…

Thank you for the answer. I'll increase my water intake then. Thanks!

I agree, might just be water weight.
-
Are you measuring yourself? Today I seen a drop of 2 inches off my waist, and 3 from my chest without dropping a single pound. I don't take the scale that seriously.

Before everyone jumps down her husbands throat lets remember 1. some people can develop serious issues with their weight and develop very serious issues and it sounds like he's worried and 2. Relationships are complicated and for all we know she may have shown controlling traits over other things. For example: it's common…

measuring is a better indicator of weight loss. I lost 2 inches without dropping a pound last week.

It's both. Some clothes fit at a larger size some at a smaller size. It's really per brand which is so aggravating.

I'm starting to see this side of things a little. I think both over eating and anorexia and bulimia themselves arn't the disease, the self esteem issue is the issue itself. Like I said in the previous post we really need to work on boosting self esteem. It's pretty sad how our culture finds putting each other down as the…

I get what you're saying, I think the big issue with calling it a disease is it gives us a reason to not blame ourselves, to not be accountable. I can tell you from first hand experience that I always used any excuse I could to over eat. I was sad, I was stressed, my insulin made me hungry. I used excuses and I just think…

My goal is size 14, but im a large framed, tall woman. I wear a size 11 shoes. lol so I think I'll look good there.

My god. Some of you are shorter and way smaller than me but eating more calories than MFP tells me I should be eating. Hell, some of you are eating and losing at an amount that MFP says I need to maintain my weight. Whats with the big differences (and I'm talking about women, not men)

all addictions are a lack of self control. Which is by definition the truth. Have no will power to stop yourself from doing something. Calling them diseases annoys me. You may truly be unable to control yourself, and that's fine. That is a problem that needs help. But calling it a disease just seems insulting to people who…

I guess maybe if you're constantly consuming far too much sodium it would be helpful.
-
maybe log it under grilled?
-
People tend to eat their exercise calories and then more. We tend to over estimate what we burn and under estimate how many we consume. Also high sodium and not enough water keeps on a lot of water weight.
-
I have the same issue. I just had to bite the bullet and make my own meals.
-
possibly water retention. are you eating high sodium and not getting enough water?
-
I don't have an issue with the calories, because if I want a burger I can adjust what I eat the rest of the day to keep my numbers in the green. It's the sodium. The MASSIVE sodium. For instance, yesterday I had a very small serving of nachos. I stayed under my calorie budget but I woke up with a 2lb weight gain this…

I hate this too. I also read that the reason cheaper womens shoes don't fit as well as high end shoes is because the manufacturer only bought one set of molds (mens) and use them to make the womens shoes as well. Women's shoes typically cost more than mens shoes because they are pushing off the cost difference from buying…

agree with previous poster. Sodium. I gained 2 pounds since yesterday because I ate a sodium high dinner. Drink plenty of water and it should drop off in the next few days.

From what I've seen and heard weight loss is 80% diet 20% fitness. I don't exercise, well at least not at this point. When I was exercising I'd get super hungry and eat back the calories and then some. I've lost 24lbs without exercising at all. I do want to eventually add in some strength training, but I'm nowhere near my…

Thanks for the info guys. Guess I'll alter it to be somewhere between the two and see how that goes.
