My condolences on the loss of your mother. I'm very sorry you went through that. Your choice to make such a difference through hard work and perseverance has clearly improved the quality of your life. I wish you continued success and happiness.

How remarkably brave of you to share this story with us. That can't have been easy. Thank you for opening up. I, too, went through a period of agoraphobia as a result of a traumatic experience, and I know exactly the struggle it is to come out of it. I am so proud of your hard work and your dedication to improving your…

You look happy, healthy, and strong. All those days of hard work are paying off! Not only are you leaner, I noticed that your chain even looks longer because of the difference in your neck circumference. Excellent progress :)

Welcome! Sending you a friend request. You'd be surprised how big a boost it can be when a friend sends you a "way to go" as you stick to the plan.

My inner DJ is alternating between "Take a Bow" by Madonna and "The Sound of Settling" by Death Cab for Cutie. I'm here to give inner DJ other ideas, for Pete's sake.

Feel free to add me. I log daily and make sure to check my feed to respond positively to my friends' news and updates.

Outstanding! You can literally see how much better you feel, both physically and emotionally. Great work!

Yes! My son (12) is a budding ornithologist, and we love to watch birds around us. We're trying to figure out how to set up a feeder in this new neighborhood, where there is a substantial feral cat population. We don't want to just lure birds in to their death. Glad to know there are others of us out there and on here…

I'm in the Dayton, Ohio, area. I can always use more friends!

Hi, and congratulations! Feel free to add me, too.

What are your NSVs for today?[/quote] When we moved to this new condo two months ago, I was embarrassed because I needed my husband's help in getting the seat belt latched in our car. But as of Saturday, that's no longer the case. I can latch it all by myself with one hand now. Not bad for only having just gotten started.…

Hi, KFit. I was just diagnosed this week with Type 2 diabetes, myself, and I'm here with the goal of ultimately reversing it altogether. Sending you a friend request. Have a great weekend!

You are amazing! Your hard work and determination have utterly transformed your body and your life. What an accomplishment! Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us :)

The fact you've worked so hard and come so far is *absolutely* a success story, and you'll continue to succeed. I am so proud of your accomplishment. Keep up the great work! It's paying off.

Thank you so much for this post. Though I have not been obese my entire life, I have always had a dysmorphic view of myself, and I have always hated pictures of myself. But when I almost died giving birth to my son (damn you, preeclampsia!), I realized my baby isn't going to give a crap whether I was fat or not. One day,…

Four eleven and three quarters here (that last three quarters is crucial!). I never hit my head on the ceiling fan, so there's that.

I'd say it's lupus, but it's never lupus, except for that one time it was lupus.

Double date with a friend in high school. I knew she'd been dating her guy for a while, and sort of assumed my date would be a friend of his. Instead, it was her 26 year-old cousin, who did nothing but talk about knives all night (Freudian much?). I was so stressed out, I wound up breaking out in hives once he dropped me…

Holy schnikes! You look like the younger brother of your former self! What a great accomplishment! Kudos :)

I don't feel that how others dress is a reflection upon myself, so it wouldn't bother me to eat dinner with you in the outfit you described. Perhaps if someone had fairly low levels of self-confidence, they might feel weird about it, but frankly, I try not to use those folks as a barometer, you know? Do what makes *you*…

When I lived in Mississippi, I had to live in the atheist closet, so people would ask me, "What are you giving up for Lent?" I'd always answer, "liver." Figured that was pretty easy, since I never eat that crap.

Fighting **** bourbon. So bad, it makes turpentine seem like a legitimate drink.

You and I started off in approximately the same boat (you were actually smaller than I was), and it's inspirational to see what a tremendous difference you've made! You look great, and I can tell you've worked hard. Keep up the great work!

Throughout my entire first marriage... (Thank you, thank you, don't forget to tip the wait staff. I'll be here all week.)
