 I personally think you're just cheating yourself when you count stuff that is in your normal realm of activities. Especially since when you set up your MFP account you should have already accounted for your normal daily activity in your settings. I only count the things that REALLY take some effort.

I'm currently on my second plateau, but it seems both of them happened after losing about 35 lbs (thus my 70 lbs lost). I've been stuck at 222 for the last month and I'm working on breaking it, but the first time, I just switched up the workouts I was doing and made sure I was getting my body the nutrients it needed. Your…

I wussed out and didn't go to the gym today - sorry guys! Zumba/Zumba toning in the morning and MAYBE a spin class if I get my butt out of bed that early - but either way I'll kick some *kitten* and take some names tomorrow!

Why were you running in her old shoes? I'd suggest getting shoes fitted for you at a specialized running store. When I got properly fitted for shoes, my knee pain went away in a matter of days.

So....How'd everyone do?! I didn't get anywhere CLOSE to 10 lbs lost, BUT I can now see a teeny tiny bit of space between my legs when I stand with my feet hip width apart - I've NEVER been able to see any space there!! Thanks for joining my challenge, everyone, and a big thank you to those who have been with me for…

Energy drinks are TERRIBLE for you! Have you considered a protein shake instead?

As harsh as it sounds, just quit making excuses and do it. Once you get yourself back into the routine of exercising (not that Zumba is hard to love!) and eating right, it will come more naturally again.

Just change the IMG to img - I don't think we can post pictures in our signatures anymore, though. :frown:

I've never even heard of a slimcado...

Why are you on so much medication? If you don't want to answer that, that's perfectly understandable, but are there not more holistic or natural ways to approach whatever is wrong with you? That many medications jacking with your system can't be a good thing...

I prefer cardio because I'm better at it/more used to it (I'm not as sore when I do cardio), but I definitely think weight training has its benefits, too, so I do it because I have to! But it's not all that bad! :)

This is the ONLY Christmas music I can stand to listen to. I hate most Christmas music. It's just so...boring... *shudders at the thought of having to listen to it for the next month*

The Clif Builder Bar is what my husband and I both usually have for breakfast on weekdays. We're not morning people, so breakfast doesn't happen otherwise. The chocolate peanut butter is our favorite, and it's about 270 calories/bar. You really don't want to go with something like fruit simply because it's nothing but…

I fail! Already missed 2 days. I'm going to keep at it, though!! I'll just get in as many days as I can!

I'm not a smoker and never have been and I still sound like a smoker after some runs. If you're lungs aren't used to it, if there are certain allergens in the air, etc...this can happen.

WOOHOO!! Let's DO this!!

You have PLENTY of time to increase from a 5K to a 10K. It's only 3 more miles. Your runs during the week can stay at around 1.5, maybe 2 miles if you want, but I'd suggest doing a longer run on the weekends. You want to at least get used to the 6 miles and run it a time or two before the actual race. I have some 5K-10K…

I have one that is a 20/22 that could probably be altered fairly easily. It's actually a 2-piece bridesmaid dress with a white skirt and strapless white top. I also have the slip that goes with it. I've been asking $75 for dress and slip. Let me know if that's something she might be interested in.

If it's something you do on a regular basis - you're not really working yourself any more than usual - so I think that's stretching it just a bit. If you actually plan on logging singing as exercise, I think you might have a little bit of a hard time losing weight, but I'm no expert - just my personal opinion.

Netflix also has workout videos.

Most of the cyclists I know REALLY like the Kurt Kinetic. I don't have a trainer, but I go to spin class at the gym several times a week, and usually on Fridays we have "movie night" and do a virtual ride. Spinning (that's the actual brand) makes a lot of DVD's with different scenery and workouts. They're pretty cool!

Does it count for today and tomorrow if I just run 6 miles tomorrow?? I haven't ran yet today (but did 1.5 hours of Zumba).

Worst idea ever: NOT getting properly fitted for running shoes. Everyone's foot is different and you can't just go to any shoe store and buy just any old shoe and think it will work for running. Going to a specialty store and having them do a gait analysis was the best thing I could have ever done for my running, feet,…

Maybe a different perspective might help her understand? How many calories was she previously eating to get up to 312? I guarantee it was probably more than 1,900/day. Maybe if she looks at it that way - as 1,900 being x amount of calories less than what she used to eat on a daily basis - she will see why it's set "so…

I have the Brooks Addiction 9 and the Asics Foundation 10. I like the look of my Asics better, but honestly, with having a pretty wide foot, the Brooks are a lot more comfortable because they have a wider base and toe-box. I have to have the extra cushioning on the inside of the arch because I pronate pretty bad, but both…

You work an entire 10 hour shift on nothing but yogurt?? :noway: I'd suggest trying to up the amount of protein you have with your breakfast, have a snack or two throughout the day, and DEFINITELY be sure to grab some lunch. You shouldn't be going more than 3-4 hours without eating something or you're slowing down your…

Water retention, my friend. It will go away almost as fast as it came on. Just keep drinking water to flush out added sodium, keep working out, and make the healthiest food choices you possibly can. Also - if you're traveling, that tends to not help things.

I can definitely see a difference in the face!! And I LOVE your hair in that last picture!!

I got in one mile yesterday - was hoping for more, but I was on dog duty (long story) so I managed to sneak in a mile on the dreadmill while hubby was in the shower. I'm getting ready to go for today's mile even though I already did an hour of Zumba and raked/bagged leaves today. Is the spreadsheet working out okay so far?
