sounds like you have plateau. you might need to intensify your routine or change it to put stress on your body to change.

thanks for the tip, it makes sense.

push yourself:wink: the first time, I did it for 5 minutes. However, the second time I push myself to complete it. It was hard, but I told myself I could do it. By day the second week, it becomes easier. The push ups were a major challenge, but try to complete at least 2, and next time try more. You can do it.

i jogged today

3.0 is walking. I am sort of in the same boat because I am learning how to jog. My trainer had me walk for 1 minute, then jog for 1 minute to blast my heart rate, and repeat. I did this for 20 minutes. This is a great way to learn to jog and build endurance. This week, I walked for one minute and jog for two minutes, and…

lean protein is great for building muscle.

interval training for sure. I run the track for 2 laps, then walk for 1, strength training for 3 minutes, and repeat. this will blast the heart rate and calories for sure.

I am somewhat in the same boat. I was told to drink water first if I feel hungry because sometimes the body mistakes hungry for thirst.

you want to gain muscle, for this is the only way to burn fat. you are eating too few calories for your fitness level. your body is going to hold on to the fat, while your muscles are wasting away because you are in starvation mode.

don't worry, we all have bad days. it more important to make different choices tomorrow or the next minute, rather than beating your self up. I am in a similar boat, for my city got snow in. However, I try to make the effort to do a dvd exercise tape or some floor exercises when I cannot make it to the gym. Every little…

I have read some about it, but did not try it. Let me know how it works out.

whey protein is good and quick, if you are strenght training. Otherwise, egg whites, turkey, and chicken.

I think inches. Inches always show progress. pounds not so much. You can lose pounds on the scale, but you do not know if its only water weight or fat. of course, you always want to lose fat instead of water.

its hard to say. it depends on so many factors. However, it you are really concern about sugar, you should consider limiting the amount of fruit you eat that have a high sugar index i.e. bananas When you decide to fruits high in sugar, then sprinkle some cinnomon. Cinnomon will help to control your insulin levels.

i like the "Shape boot camp" dvd. it mixes cardio with strength training. there are three different episodes to choose from, and they are 30 minutes each. Its a great workout, but challenging.

1200 cals is not enough calories. I would aim for 1500 -1600 cals, and add exercise to your daily routine. You do not need to attend the gym. Try jogging in a spot and jumping jacks for 20 minutes. What I have started to do was do jumping jacks for 1 minute, then jogging for two minutes, and alternate between the two until…

I have lifted 25lb and 3/12 reps in the past, but I had to work up to 25lbs. I just started exercising again, so I am starting with 15lbs, but in two weeks I will increase it to 20lbs. It has been my experience that it is important to increase the weight every 2-4 weeks to see improvements. It is important to challenge…

Hi all, just a helpful hint, when eating fruits high in sugar, add 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. Cinnamon slows the rate at which the stomach empties after meals, reducing the rise in blood sugar after eating. I have gotten into the habbit of adding cinnamon to bananas and plaintain, so it can help to control my blood sugar.

I'm in:) lets get the party started

I exercise at all hours because I work shift work. if i am working the night shift, then I workout at night. if I am working an evening shift then I work out in the morning. People have the balance their life in a way that makes sense. Rules cannot guide everyone's lives; therefore, we have to do what makes sense for us.

don't be so hard on yourself. if you fall, just get right up. i struggle with weight loss my self, but this time around I am doing things differently. I write messages on my hand like "junk free day" to remind myself to eat healthy. if i decide to eat junk, then I only allow myself to have one bite. I set my alarm to…

yes you can:)

I would not be too concern about that. Everyone body needs a different amount of protein base on daily fitness activy. I think it's more important to listen to your body. Your body will tell you if your comsuming too much protein. More importantly, it's a good idea to stick with lean proteins like fish, chicken, and whey…

1 cup of soy or milk, 1 banana, and 1 tbsp of sugar free peanut butter and blend all ingredients for 30seconds. Very filling, high in protein, and keeps me going till lunch, especially before a workout.
