I hear ya. If I am craving plantain, then I have to bake or boil it. I use the crock pot to cook things like curry chicken and goat. it makes a big difference in my calorie intake. hence, I eat the same foods, but I just prepared them differently, so its kinder on my waistline.

it is hard to say because I do not know your calorie intake or workout level. Healthy fats are good for everyone, and actually helps to support our brain and body. I always try to eat either flax seed, avocado, or coconut milk or oil daily. I consume 1500- 1600 calories a day, and I have been losing 2 pounds steady a week…

I cannot suggest a liquid cleanse, but if you eat plenty of organic raw fruits and vegetables, then your body will do the work.

i had the same issue. i usually log it as 10 minutes of high impact workout and 10 minutes of strenght training. I realize that the tally of calories burned may not be correct, but I am not too concerned because my body knows how hard I worked out. Remember, weight loss is 80% calorie intake and 20% exercise.

its hard to say. I work shift work, so I have to fit it in when I can. If I am doing day shifts, then I workout in the morning. If I am doing a night shift, then I workout in the evening before I go to work.

1200 calories is too few calories. Listen to your doctor and consume 1500 calories. 1 consume between 1500-1700 calories a day and I am losing between 1-2 pounds a week. It is important to feed our bodies with healthy foods to gain great results. I have a very busy lifestyle, for I work full time and go to school fulltime.…

i eat peanut or almond butter, but I make sure I purchase the sugar free type, and limit my intake by 1 tbsp. Almond butter is a good fat.

i am always in the red, but I am not worried because most of my sugar is from natural sources.

maybe too much sugar intake, even though you are staying within your calorie range. Another possibility, you may be eating too few calories.

2 pounds down, and 3 more to go.

i agree, once a week in the morning.

sounds like you hit a plateau. Everyone hits a plateau eventually. From my own research, the best thing to do is to change your routine to something more challenging to put stress on your body to change. Our body and mind gets use to routine, and we have to change it up every now and then.

I eat first, so I have energy to work hard.

You are eating too few calories. Your body is holding on to the fat because you are in starvation mode. For your activity level you should be aiming for 1500-1600 calories a day of good fats, proteins, and carbs. I have been eating in this range for 3 weeks and I have lost 2 pounds a week. My activity level is jogging 4…

its a good idea to eat after a workout. As long as you are eating healthy, non process items, then do not worry about the calories. Your metabolism will actually increase the more you eat. examples - hand full of carrots with low fat hummus celery with natural almond butter (no more than 2tbsp) plain yogurt and half of…

it depends how are hard you are working out. If you are doing an low to medium impact workout then you might want to be careful. However, if you are working out really hard, specially weight training, then you need to eat more calories to fuel your body to increase metabolism. What I am learning is if I continue to eat…

I totally agree. Also, be mindful of the calorie content. Some products are loaded with sugar and calories. Shakes are best used after a workout, when your on the run. Otherwise its best to get your protein source from lean meats or flax, and hemp seeds because its natural.

I hear ya. I do shift work, so this is an ongoing battle. I have to cook and prepare snacks in advance, so there is no guess work in eating. This means sometimes I do my workouts in the am, and other times in the pm, depending on my shift. My coach told me its important to eat every 3-4 hours to fuel my body regardless of…
