All kinds of stuff. Oatmeal with soy milk and fruit, whole wheat toast with peanut butter, pancakes with soy bacon (the Bisquick lite mix is vegan, but you have to use soy milk and egg substitute), grits and scrambled tofu...

Chips. A few weeks ago (before I started MFP), I was out with my mother shopping and I bought a large bag (not a single serving) of veggie chips. This was right after lunch, so I wasn't hungry. But I decided to eat a few and before I knew it I had eaten the entire bag. My mom watched me eat them and said I looked like I…

Vegetarian jambalaya! Brown rice, veggies, broth, canned tomatoes w/ juice, Field Roast veggie sausages, and Smartlife veggie chicken strips. Super yummy...

Do you remember what made you stop logging your calories before? It's a good idea to think about what you can do differently this time.

I'm an American who pretends to be Canadian when traveling abroad. Close enough?

I personally don't think it's necessary to do a juice cleanse or any type of cleanse - your kidneys and liver do a pretty good job of cleaning out toxins - and you lose out on a fruit's fiber when you just drink the juice. I would be afraid I'd get too hungry by the end of the cleanse and end up eating peanut butter right…

I don't have a "banned" list per se, but MFP has helped me realize that there are some foods that just aren't worth it to me. Like I'm not a big donut fanatic, but I would eat them occasionally. When I realized how many calories were in them, I decided they weren't worth it. Might as well use my calories on foods I really…

Vegan here! Feel free to add me...

I'm tempted to get a breast augmentation. My boobs are barely there in the first place and they are the first thing to deflate whenever I lose weight (you can almost hear the PPPFFFFTTTTT sound), and yet I have this oversized *kitten* that stores fat like a camel's hump. I just look out of proportion. Seriously, I'm not…

Where do you live? You might want to check your state's tourism board website and see if there is a calendar of events. There may be some indoor activities going on. I do this a lot - I live in the DC metro area - and it's always fun to check out the museums and cultural events.

Your belly and thighs might be your "problem areas" - the first place you put on weight and the last place you take it off. When I lose weight, it usually comes off my breasts first and my butt last - as a pear-shaped gal, the butt is my problem area. I could probably get down to my goal weight and still have a big…

5'4", 133 lbs, trying to get to 125 lbs. Please feel free to add me. I'm new here, but I'm on every day. :)

If you think you're bloated, you might need to give your body some time to adjust to eating more fruits and veggies, especially if you're not used to it. The bloating should go away if you keep drinking water and you aren't drowning your veggies in salt or something.

I tried 1200 cal/day (I'm 5'4" and about 133 trying to get down to 125). Couldn't do it - I was so hungry! I bumped up to between 1400 - 1500 calories/day for slower weight loss, but it seems to be working so far. And it's definitely sustainable for the long term. Remember, you didn't put on all your weight overnight -…

There's a school of thought that says you don't need to weigh food and track calories but that you can use your own feelings of hunger to guide your eating. I think it's called hunger-directed eating. I read a book about this called "ThinSide Out: How to Have Your Cake and Your Skinny Jeans Too," by Josie Spinardi. The…

Do you like cabbage? I have a recipe for a comforting cabbage soup that's great for winter. Not exactly exciting, but I love it... 1/2 head cabbage, chopped or shredded 1 large potato w/ skin, chopped 1 large onion, chopped 3 carrots, chopped 3 celery, chopped 2 cloves garlic, mashed 8-9 cups veggie stock 1 package…

Hey, I wouldn't mind being 142lbs if I was 5'5" and all muscle - in fact, I would prefer that! I carry all my chubbiness in my lower half - I've got Taylor Swift's arms and Rosie O'Donnell's booty. Gaahh...

Oh yeah, I used to do yoga, too! :) Might be time to dust off the old DVDs...

125 lb is about what I'm aiming for. If I get much lower than that, my face starts looking drawn and fugly. (I know because when I first went vegan, I lost a bunch of weight without trying - and then put it all back on and then some). I do need to tone up, too, but I like exercise only slightly more than I like sticking…

Depression sucks. It has sabotaged my efforts to lose weight (and do other things) several times. I think it's important to have a strategy in place to help you stay relatively on track for when depression hits...so yeah...let me know if you think of a good strategy, lol Friend me if you'd like!

Hey, thanks! I've never made new year's resolutions before but felt inspired this year. And weight loss is the most popular resolution. I've heard only about 8-10% of people actually achieve NY resolutions...I'm hoping I'll be in that 8%!

Sorry to hear about your accident. I've heard that weight loss is about 70% diet and 30% exercise, so with dieting alone, you might still be able to lose weight. And I agree that your therapist would probably be the best person to give you suggestions for safe exercises.

My current favorite breakfast is a couple of slices of whole-wheat toast with peanut butter, and some fortified OJ or other juice. Keeps me full until lunch. Otherwise, I'll eat cereal or oatmeal with light soy milk. If I'm running out the door, I'll grab a Luna bar.

Hi - I use the Lose It! app too but couldn't find a forum for that, so I snuck in here. I may switch over to MFP at some point. Congrats on losing 71 lbs so far!

For me, it was totally about animal welfare and had nothing to do with health. In fact, I was concerned I wouldn't be able to get all my vitamins, etc. It's been about 7 years now and I've learned to eat a pretty balanced diet, but my weight has yo-yo'ed because I've got a serious sweet tooth and there is a buffet of vegan…

I made a great big stack of pancakes the day before I decided to finally change my diet. Now I have a bunch of pancakes in my fridge that I can't eat without logging a huge amount of calories and probably being hungry an hour later... hmm...maybe the cat will eat them...

Hi - I'm vegan and have somewhat similar measurements - 5'4" and about 135 lbs and trying to get down to 125 lbs. Did you lose a bunch of weight when you first went veg? I remember losing 10 lbs in the first month without even trying. But soon after, I discovered that Oreos are vegan. And so are Nutter Butters and Vienna…
