I got a chance to try Walk Slim 4 Fast Miles, and that one kicked my butt! The intervals aren't overly intense, but over the course of 50 minutes, I did sweat.

That's good info, thanks. I've heard that many of Leslie's older workouts (the ones originally on VHS) are more challenging than some of her newer stuff. Don't know if that's true, but I'll check out WATP. I've also heard good things about Chris Freytag. I used to have a rebounder but got rid of it during my last…

That sounds great. I don't mind giving Leslie some of my hard-earned money. I've been sprinting-in-place when doing some of her slower videos to get my heart rate up, but I always do better if a trainer is holding my feet to the fire.

Why isn't "Fat Guy Goes Nutzoid" available on DVD?

Juicing isn't necessary to lose weight but if it puts you in a good frame of mind to begin a life-long lifestyle change, go for it. Just be aware that if you're only consuming the juice, you're not getting the fiber from the fruit. So you might be taking in calories but not feeling "full." Consume the pulp if you can. You…

I've fallen off the treadmill. A couple of times. I'm not even a huge gym-goer, just a huge klutz.

Hi~ I'm new to the group. Was working out with Jillian Michaels until I got shin splints...recovered from that but then tweaked my knee. So I'm back to low-impact stuff. I've been doing one of Leslie's 3-mile walks that's available on youtube. My goal is 10,000 steps a day (for my fitbit) and to do a proper walking workout…

I hesitated too, but I'm glad I got my fitbit charge. Unless you're very OCD about every step you take, I think its accuracy is fine for someone who wants a reasonably good gauge of their fitness level.

Check out the BeFit channel on youtube...lots of workout options

From Consumer Reports: "See a dermatologist. Certain laser treatments can sometimes reduce redness and smooth skin so that scars are not as apparent, Crutchfield [professor of dermatology, Univ of Minnesota] says. 'Topical products my patients find helpful to improve the appearance of stretch marks and scars include…

If it's just muscle soreness, I think you can continue working out, unless you're in serious pain. If it's joint pain - like in your knees or elbows, etc, - then you're supposed to rest that until you feel better. That's why good form is important - to prevent joint injuries that can derail your workout plan.

First day with my FitBit HR Charge and got to 10,056 steps...yay!

New Fitbit user. I'm liking this thing so far :) https://www.fitbit.com/user/2X9TJH

My scale isn't budging either, but my clothes are fitting a little better. That means my body is getting smaller and (hopefully) stronger. Your weight is just a number, and it's not like you walk around with it plastered on your forehead. People WILL notice if you look toned and healthy, though.

I love Brooks...New Balance didn't feel as good to me. Your mileage may vary, though.

Used to do Richard Simmons workouts when I was a kid, back in the late 80s/early 90s. My mom liked him. I feel like everyone's mom probably has at least one dusty VHS copy of Sweatin to the Oldies somewhere :)

He carries the Charles Atlas seal of approval. How can you go wrong?

I ate a lot of fast food growing up - McDonald's especially. If I weren't vegan now, I'd being eating McD's once a month or something. Also, I wish I could still eat Spaghetti-O's and Kraft Mac N Cheese. I've got a soft spot for the crap food from my childhood!
