  • Get fitted for shoes that work for you, at a running store. My feet always thank me, and I have medical condition that causes flares in my plantar fascia all the time. Be kind to your feet.
  • I find myself in a similar circumstance. I lost 55 lbs over two years, lots of exercise and life style changes. Then in November I injured my wrists, then my feet started acting up, and pretty soon everything hurt and I didn't know why. Took the Doctors 6 months to figure it out, and an additional month for the medications…
  • I grew up in Philly, people are always shocked. Then I toss something out in my home accent, and they are always shocked.
  • Great job getting rid of soda will be an awesome step. And I like the idea of the step counter, phones have them now so you don't need a separate device. Good luck, it's about changing your life style not dieting. You can do this.
  • Way to go!! It must feel great.
  • I have Ankylosing spondylitis so my tailbone is a big issue and my hip joints. I started doing them on my bed, but I do lots of stand up ab work as well. And try a chiropractor, it can help if your sacrum is out of alignment.
  • A few pieces to make yourself feel good, and look good. It's good positive reinforcement. I gained 15 lbs due to illness and medication, now I am trying to get it off in time for my fall wardrobe. Good luck to you. My #1 rule is don't by pants that give you muffin top. This way when they give you muffin top, it's a huge…
  • Lost 55, gained 15 due to illness and medication, getting back on track. Good luck to you, you can do it.
  • Carbs in any form...my downfall.
  • Planning is key, what and when to eat. I agree 100%, if you need something off schedule I keep cucumber or celery handy for when I have hungry days and the plan is not filling the gap. Just starting back, so I am hoping my old tricks still work for me. I do four meals, I always need a second breakfast my AM Shake never…
  • Couch to 5 k is how I started. It's a good guide, some days you might need to repeat a workout some days you might skip on ahead. It's a great program to keep it real for beginners. And don't be cheap with running shoes, take care of your feet and they will keep you moving. Good Luck!
  • Start with something fun! Try a Zumba class or kick boxing...try everything till you find what you like. I started with an exercise bike, then started zumba and before you know it I was swinging a 25 lb kettle bell. One day in the back of the gym on the bike I said I want to be that gym witch up front chatting up the…
  • I lost 55 lbs, and recently gained back 15. A giant pot hole in my health and fitness journey. A little medical condition took 6 months to find out what I had, and now I'm being treated and back on tract. It's going to be a challenge getting back to where I was but I've come to far to not try. 10 pounds is a great start,…

  • Looking to add friends who will be positive. I LIKE your outlook. Back on the program after 7 month of a painful illness that I am learning to live with.

  • Keep trying different things till you find what works, not giving up is the most important thing. I thought about WW to keep myself in balance, but decided to just start logging here. Illness and extreme pain has keep me on the couch for the last 6 months, and I gained 15 of the 55 libs I lost back. Stopping myself here…
  • I have found my natural chiropractic nutritionist to be most helpful with road blocks, and balancing the system. Before my recent illness i would not have tried such a path in the past, but a recent illness has caused me to look for more balance and natural methods. It's amazing the changes when you are balanced. Good luck!
  • Starting back after a 7 month break due to undiagnosed illness. Never quit, even if you are forced to take a break! Getting back at it.
  • hope to have these issues in 15 more lbs! Good luck!
  • Count all the meat sodium, and a portion of the sauce. I agree, most of the sauce is not eaten. I would also try to avoid sodium the rest of the day.
  • BOTH, if cost is a factor and your are not ready to pay for a personal trainer. Try a few 30 day challenges and start with squats, then maybe pushups, and then abs, i do these sometimes with coworkers. This way you can save up, and build some strength before starting with a trainer. Then when you hit a road block in your…
